Did you know that preventing and treating oral diseases in pets is essential for their overall health? Here are some tips to keep those pearly whites shining and their gums healthy:
1οΈβ£ Regularly brush your pet's teeth to remove plaque build-up. Remember to use tooth gel or toothpaste specially formulated for pets, not human toothpaste.
2οΈβ£ Scaling and polishing the teeth, when required, can help remove plaque and mineral buildup. It is therefore essential to go for a complete health check annually.
3οΈβ£ In cases of severe periodontal disease, some teeth may need to be extracted. These advanced treatments are typically performed under general anesthesia, ensuring your pet's comfort.
4οΈβ£ Don't underestimate the importance of follow-up treatments and check-ups with your veterinarian. Preventing further gum disease can truly be a lifesaver for your beloved pet.
5οΈβ£ Promote better oral health by feeding your pet dry food and VOHC approved dental chews. These can help in maintaining a cleaner mouth and fresher breath.
Remember, your pet's oral health is an integral part of their overall well-being. By following these tips and working closely with your veterinarian, you're helping your furry friend live a happier, healthier life. πΆπ±π

There are two great ways to record your pets weight:β
β
1. Weigh yourself, then pick up your dog or cat and step on the scale. Subtract your weight from your combined weight to determine their weight. Easy!β
β
2. For more accuracy, pop into your local vet. Most vets love a weight check visit and fuss over your pets, but more importantly, it's a great way to record the weight on their file and discuss any discrepancies.β
