SAEF EDUCATION AND EMPOWERMENT INITIATIVE

Are you interested in becoming an announcer, scribe, marshal or timekeeper at equestrian shows and earn a bit of extra money?

Our first SAEF Officials course will be held on 13 & 14 July 2024 at 29 Macintyre Road, Glenferness, Kyalami (SAEF Offices).

This is a 2-day course and will be subsidised by the SAEF. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

The course is limited to 15 attendees only.

White Waters O’Lavey Shalih, the top breeding stallion at White Waters Warmblood Stud in Mpumalanga, has always been a remarkable competitor, both in dressage and jumping where he currently shines in the open jumping classes. Despite his impressive stature as a tall, lean stallion, Lavey often struggled to maintain his body weight, especially during the breeding season. It was challenging to keep him from looking more like a racehorse than the magnificent 18hh stallion he is.

Remember our posts from Tuesday and Wednesday on how Thermal Mud has assisted one of our "humans" in the healing of her sprained wrist? Here is yet another testimonial!

"This stuff (thermal mud) should be called miracle mud instead!
I cut my finger on a Lantana thorn this morning. We all know how a normal scrape hurts from those things. This was quite deep. It hurt the entire day.
This afternoon I decided, stuff it, if its good enough for my horses it's good enough for me. So I applied some thermal mud. I pretty much just pressed my finger on it in the tub. Not 15min later and the pain is gone and I can actually press on the cut without it being sore..
This stuff is AMAZING!"

I want to share my journey with Vermate and Thermal Mud with you, which started more than 10 years ago. In fact, I started with Thermal Mud and I have amazing success stories to tell. Marjolein introduced me it when I was struggling with Beach Haven On Track, jumping 3-4 days in a row in the big classes, on the Clopfiber area.

His hamstrings and back would get so stiff and tight after day 2 that he could barely move. Marjolein mentioned to me that she had started a new product called Thermal Mud and suggested I should try it on my boy. Well, it worked like a bomb! After every day's jumping I would wrap him in the Thermal Mud, almost from head to hoof – and the next morning he would walk out of the stable as if he had never jumped before! I was convinced, and after that, he was never without his Thermal Mud – and it has become an essential product in my stable yard.

When we travel to shows we do not leave without at least 10 – 30 litres of TM. And as with Beach Haven On Track, each day after jumping all the horses get spoilt with a ‘mud down’. And it's so easy to use. And so effective.

What is really amazing too is its almost magical success in treating wounds and healing. I have been able to heal horrific cut wounds on horses, so bad that the vets wanted to put the horse down. Horses with scars and wounds that would not heal were sent to me, and the results spoke for themselves!

After Thermal Mud, it was an easy introduction to including Vermate as part of my stable yards nutritional ritual. It’s compulsory for every horse under my care, and the results are, just like with Thermal Mud, amazing. I use Vermate daily with the horses, and also for sorting out clic symptoms in them. It feels safe to treat with Vermate because you can never overdose. Even my grooms are comfortable using it, and know the routine - when a horse looks off, has a temp or anything is not normal - 200ml of Vermate gets administered directly into the mouth.

Before travelling I give my one nervous traveller 200ml, 30 mins before boxing, and sometimes he gets more while travelling. It eases his stress and calms his gut and nervous system down. Vermate has multiple uses, too many to rave about here. I just want to testify that Vermate and Thermal Mud are life-changing products with regards to my horses and animals and that I am blessed to be able to be a Brand Ambassador for these amazing products.
