WE ARE CLOSING DOWN!

After three years as the owner and operator of Creeklands Vet Dr Anne Mette has decided to take a break from running the business.

Sadly, we were unable to negotiate reasonable terms for the continued lease at 80 Marsh Street so the business will be put on hold from the 25th of August.

We will likely open again under a new name at a new location in Armidale in 2024, but from September this year Dr Anne Mette will begin working for Uralla Vet for the time being. It is a little further away for some of you, but Anne Mette does look forward to seeing many of you there.
Uralla Vet Clinic 6778 3133

Our last day of operation as Creeklands Vet will be the 25th of August 2023.

Thank you for your support of our small business during the past three years. It has been a pleasure to provide your pets and livestock with veterinary care and we hope to continue working with you well into the future.

Update! Sweet Chloe found a home in the end! She is now enjoying life in a lovely household with another cat for company!

Sweet Chloe is still looking for a home!

Chloe would do really well in a mature household. She is a very laid back kitty who enjoys company. However, she is not very fond of young children.

Please let us know if you would be interested in providing a forever home for Chloe. Or come meet her at the clinic.

Chloe is around 5 years old and comes desexed, microchipped and vaccinated.

These two exuberant purring machines made their way to Creeklands Vet and are now looking for their forever home.
Biscuit is a very handsome fluffy boy and the shorter haired kitty is a ginger female which is very rare! We are contemplating naming her Henny because she is as rare as hens teeth, but we are open for suggestions for a better name! Please post ideas below!!

These cuties are ready for their new homes now. Please contact us at Creeklands Vet on 0267712899 if you would consider adopting one or both of these cutie pies

PARVO IS ABOUT!!!

We have seen several cases of parvo lately in Armidale.

Parvo is a potentially fatal disease that typically affects dogs that have not been VACCINATED. Young pups tend to get more severe symptoms than older dogs and are likely to die if they catch the disease.

The good news is that parvo is easily preventable by vaccinating your dog!
If your dog is not already fully vaccinated please avoid taking it out and about for walks to the dog park and please arrange to get it vaccinated as soon as possible!

If you would like to make an appointment or if you are unsure if your dog is adequately covered please give us a ring on 67712899.

SEEKING LARGE DOG BLOOD DONORS IN THE ARMIDALE AREA! πŸΆπŸ’•

We are urgently seeking owners of large dogs to contact us about becoming a blood donor to assist in saving lives. It usually takes 10 minutes and is for the most part quick and easy to do. Animals can donate a maximum of four times a year (every 3 months) however red blood cells are replaced after just 1 month. One bag of blood can save 3 dogs from life or death situations.

Blood donors should be;
-Between 1-7 years old
-Weigh at least 25kg
-Be healthy
-Ideally would never have had a blood transfusion in the past
-Have a friendly and obedient demeanour
-The ability to lie still for 5-10mins

A blood donation is collected from the jugular vein (the large vein in the neck) over around 5-10 minutes. The blood is then dated and is refrigerated for a maximum of 3-4 weeks.

The blood donations can be needed to assist in the support of surgical procedures, parvovirus, snake envenomations, toxicities and anaemia or bleeding disorders such as haemophelia, ratbait ingestion, etc.

If you think your dog may be eligible please contact us at ASAP at Creeklands Vet Surgery on 67712899. If eligible, your dog will be placed onto a donor register at our clinic and called when needed. We will give your pet a free health check, plenty of pats, and treats after the procedure

Still looking for a home; Delilah πŸˆβ€β¬›πŸ’–
Please contact Creeklands Vet asap if interested in adopting me 67712899 πŸ’›

I came to the clinic under unusual circumstances and am now looking for a furever home.
I can be timid at first but I warm up to new people very quickly and do love head boops and curling up on your lap on a stormy day.
My future family will ideally have no dogs, no cats and no younger children (they might scare me).

Adoption fee is $150 with support from the Animal Welfare League NSW - Armidale Branch. This covers desexing, vaccinating, microchipping, flea treating and worming. So, if you are interested in adopting me please contact my keepers at Creeklands Vet on 67712899 to schedule a meet and greet
