!PARVOVIRUS OUTBREAK ALERT!
Since the end of last year, we've seen a huge number of Parvo cases. In the past couple of weeks, we've had an even greater influx of cases, and unfortunately, our isolation ward can only fit so many dogs.
The only way to prevent parvo is by vaccinating. Once a dog has the virus, the survival rate is slim at best.
This is a very, very serious and highly contagious disease. Please help spread the word.

Adorable Jet came to the emergency clinic a few weeks ago after eating a prawn with a fish hook at the beach. Dr. Elizabeth performed an endoscopy and managed to retrieve it from his stomach without any complications. Beautiful outcome for this beautiful pup!

Did you know that at Bangalow Vets we now award one lucky pet every month as our PET OF THE MONTH?!
How? Our vets will nominate several pets throughout the month and put their name inside a jar. At the end of the month we will draw out one name 🎉
What do we look for? We think all pets are cute, so that's not great as our criteria. Your pet is likely to be nominated if they:
1. Are a good boy or girl in consult
2. Have any unique and loveable quirks
3. Have an interesting story to tell

What does the pet win? Bragging rights (obviously), but also a fun prize pack with toys and fun things!

Morris had his check up today for his eye at Bangalow Vets
It’s cleared up nicely over the past week, we’re all happy with his improvement.
Still not 100% sure what it was, our lovely vet discussed several possibilities with me but I won’t go into all the info here but it’s nothing to worry about.
Thank you to a great vet and clinic. 😻

Meet Buddy the wanderer!

Buddy was brought to us by a concerned client on Saturday night. He had wandered up to their house in Ocean Shores and demanded food for the second night in a row. He looked skinny and possibly unwell. When he arrived, his microchip was checked and it turned out that he was registered to the Pottsville aged care facility. After getting into contact with them, they told us that he'd been missing for around 7 weeks! Apparently, this is not the first time he’s gone walk about either...
In Ballina, and he decided to make his own way back and walked all the way from Ballina to Pottsville! Can you believe it?!
Here he is reunited with his human. 🧡
Cats love adventures too!
