FOUND!

This beautiful 20 year old , Persian lady was brought in tonight.
Found in Suffolk Park and registered to Suffolk Park. Unfortunately, the number on her microchip is disconnected.
Please share so we can get her home.
She’s currently being treated for dehydration and possibly kidney failure.

!PARVOVIRUS OUTBREAK ALERT!
Since the end of last year, we've seen a huge number of Parvo cases. In the past couple of weeks, we've had an even greater influx of cases, and unfortunately, our isolation ward can only fit so many dogs.
The only way to prevent parvo is by vaccinating. Once a dog has the virus, the survival rate is slim at best.
This is a very, very serious and highly contagious disease. Please help spread the word.

This little girl was brought in to us tonight.
Collar but not tag. Microchip details have incorrect phone number registered.
Found on Teven Road heading towards Alstonville.

Our veterinary colleagues, Alstonville Vet, will be closed on Saturdays from now on until the near future.

Due to a veterinarian shortage we will be now CLOSED on Saturdays. We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause our clients. This Beautiful Boy was found in Ballina this evening . He is microchipped though his details are not up to date and phone numbers are disconnected .

OH. MY. GOD!
You haven't heard from us in so long because we have been SO BUSY!
We haven't seen this many tick toxicity and snake envenomation cases for years!
Here are some facts to take away from this post:
1. Tick prevention DOES NOT WORK if it is not up to date. It will only work for the duration that is stated on the packaging.
2. Tick prevention works and is thousands (yes thousands) of dollars cheaper and safer than treating a tick toxicity patient with tick antiserum.
3. Though we can't control what snakes do and where they lurk, we can control keeping our dogs on leads on walks and not letting them run off into shrubbery, bush land, long grass etc.
4. It may be worth keeping your cats indoors during the tick and snake season.

Pictured below, paralysis ticks that were pulled off ONE dog. All ticks were paralysis ticks, none were engorged (none had a blood meal), and all were dead. The dog was on Simparica Trio.

We are tired but working hard.

She has a microchip but owners aren’t answering our calls. Apparently her name is Scout.

All kittens have found a home!!

We still have one baby girl who is desperate to find a home.
She is about 12 weeks old now.
Very affectionate and playful. She has watched her siblings get adopted and is the last one.

All kittens have found a home!!

We need your help!
We have had a lot of people drop abandoned kittens to us lately. Our staff have been looking after them at home and raising them. They are old enough now to find forever homes!
As you may already be aware, ALL animal shelters are FULL!
It is such a scary thought, so we are desperate to find foster homes or ideally, forever homes for these playful angels who deserve nothing but love.
All kittens are at Bangalow Vets today, so please feel welcome to come into the clinic and meet them.

For people who are serious about adopting a kitten:
- We ask that you have them microchipped
- We ask that you cover costs of the vaccination and worming
- We ask that you have the kitten desexed when it is old enough. Bangalow Vets will give you a 10% discount on this
