Update: it with a heavy heart that we need to inform everyone that little Fiona had to be put down this evening. 😢

She was rushed off to the vet in the early hours of the morning showing signs of colic. An ultrasound revealed froth in her stomach. After some pain relief and oil, she’s back home recovering, although we have to take her with us this morning as she needs feeding every 2 hrs.

The prognosis isn’t too good after the vet discovered a cleft pallet.

We certainly can not afford the surgery to rectify it, so fingers crossed she doesn’t develop phenomena.

Update: She’s now walking around with her new splint, getting cheeky and even giving the occasional buck 😂

We called her princess Fiona, (from Shrek) due to her ogre appearance 😂 she’s drinking well.

Update: The splints came off yesterday and there has been a massive improvement. One hind (near side) leg is back to a normal angle and she’s bearing weight on it. The other is much better, but still has a bit to go.
