Just like dogs, cats need playtime and enrichment to keep them happy and satisfied. Cats love opportunities to use their natural instincts to jump, stalk, run and pounce.
Without opportunities to express their predatory nature, indoor cats can get bored and frustrated. This can lead to anxiety, depression, and compulsive or unwanted behaviors. Cats also need mental stimulation to help prevent boredom and cognitive decline as they get older.

Milo & Hershey are my new clients. I'll visit them twice per week for a decompression walk or enrichment walk and varying our walking route.
A dog's prominent sense is its sense of smell. It's their superpower.
π A decompression walk is a walk where the dog is allowed freedom (off-leash or on a long recall leash). Let their nose be their guide. The benefits of decompression walks are said to be physical, mental, and behavioral.
π Enrichment walk has the same goal. To allow your dog to let his nose be its guide and explore. You can sprinkle treats for the dog to discover or use the environment, such as fallen trees, rocks, uneven grounds...to create a makeshift obstacle course. It's a great opportunity to practice the balance.
Both of these options offer your dog more stimulation both mentally and physically, which can reduce stress and unwanted behavior.
Is your dog bored, destructive and doesn't get enough exercise?
If yes, then I'm here to help. Offering 30 & 60 min walks, one-on-one or maximum 2 dogs from the same household.
Scatter feeding dogs is simple and easy!
This enrichment activity involves scattering dry food or treats for your dog to seek out.
Scatter feeding helps to give dogs an outlet for their natural scavenger instincts. Since it involves both sniffing and eating, it can be extremely enjoyable and rewarding and also calming - this comes from the dopamine release dogs get from engaging in their most fundamental activities: sniffing and eating. So if you have a high energy dog mental stimulation and interactive feeding could be hugely beneficial.
Hershey and Milo are enjoying this activity πβ€π

Evita became my client in 2018. My regular visits and walks helped her anxiety and she felt happier and calmer.
At the end of that year she moved on the other side of town but came back again last year. Evita is now 12 years old and she got diagnosed with GOLPP (geriatric onset laryngeal paralysis polyneuropathy). Basically, her larynx is paralysed and she had to have a surgery to tie back one half of it.
Sadly, the nerve that's paralysed travels all the way to the hind legs and she is slowly losing strength and use of them. It will eventually lead to a decision to euthanise π
In the meantime, she's still happy and goofy, though much less energetic. Her breathing and fitness are impacted and walks in this heat just aren't safe for her.
Evita still loves my visits and lots of attention β€
