ANNOUNCEMENT: We are thrilled to announce that Luci & Josh from Canine Culture Australia will be taking over the management of the daycare, whilst I take a back seat & re-focus my energy on the pet sitting side of the business.

We have been recommending the CC team for many years now & I am so lucky to be able to entrust the management of the day-to-day operations of the daycare to them. Our two teams have come together to ensure you will continue to receive the best possible care when it comes to all of your canine's needs.

Whilst I will miss you all - & especially your dogs - so very much, I am excited to see what comes forth from this new endeavour & hope that you understand the need for me to reevaluate & readjust my work/life balance.

The change-over will officially occur on the 1st October &, as such, Capital Paws will be terminating our daycare schedule on the 27th September to become Canine Culture. I know this is extremely short-notice, for which I apologise, however Luci & myself will make ourselves available to you for any questions or concerns you may have over the next week's transitional period. Additionally, the amazing Xandria will be staying on for a while to facilitate the new team becoming accustomed to your dogs and vice versa 😊

For those wanting to continue on with daycare, CC are more than happy to bring our clients straight over into their 'Day School' service, with a couple of weeks' trial period in order to ascertain whether your dog is integrating well or not. Please message us either here or via email & we can send you a welcome information pack & the link to book in via their KennelBooker system.

As a final note: I have absolutely loved getting to know you all & count myself lucky to have met every single one of you. You have remained loyal & supportive through all of the ups and downs & I am so humbled by your kindness. Your dogs really do mean the world to me & have provided me with endless love, entertainment, licks, and snuggles; for which I will remain ever thankful. Please give your dogs an extra big hug for me, from 'Aunty Pip' ❤️ (and enjoy this series of selfies with some of them from over the last few years of daycare!)

Exciting news!

Our Quiet Mondays will be starting up again in September with Pip returning from her maternity leave.

These days are ideal for the more timid or anxious dogs who are a bit unsure of themselves. We work carefully with them to build their confidence - not only in themselves but in the world of socialising and group play in general! We have so many wonderful success stories with our Monday dogs and can't wait to continue helping others.

Make sure to message us to book in your dog to ensure they get a spot. Please note that, if you are a new client, we will do a trial day (held on Fridays) first to assess your dog's needs, behaviour, and overall suitability to our facility.

This weekend we're celebrating 1 whole year of our amazing Xandria working at Capital Paws 🥳

She is smart, funny, caring, and - most importantly - loves each dog that comes into our care as if it was her own. We have loved getting to know her and watching her grow and develop into the fantastic Facility Manager (not to mention friend) that she is today. Capital Paws could not operate without her and we appreciate her so much! She always goes above and beyond, and nothing is ever too much hassle.

So please join me in saying a special thank you to our Xandria ❤️ We and the dogs all love you! Happy one year anniversary and here's to many more years to come 🥂

I know this isn't animal related, and I never share things like this (I probably should!), but this is my close friend and her family and she has been through so much bad luck in her young life that it's just not fair. Now they are going through the hardest time with her partner's health and need to raise so much money to get the treatment and help they need. These are the nicest, most generous and selfless people I know, and they never ask for help. But, this time they have no other option. They NEED your help, even if it's just a couple of dollars. Please dig deep, please.

Well, the time has finally come for me (Pip) to go on Maternity Leave.

Firstly, I’ll be spending the next few weeks before baby comes completing my humongous list of admin and maintenance tasks for the daycare. A big part of this is the scheduling/booking app that I will hopefully have finalised very soon. This will streamline the booking process, providing you with the means to book in more efficiently.

I will still be the sole person responding to messages, emails, and DMs, so please have patience with that and know that my response-time will decline as baby arrives.

On that topic, I will also still be posting the social media photos and videos of your dogs each day to our stories. However, this will change from our current continuous uploading throughout the day to just the roll call photos in the morning and then a dump of videos and such in the afternoon/evening when I am able. I apologise for the decline in quality of our social media over the next few months but I also know we have the best clients who will completely understand and remain supportive throughout this transitional journey ahead!

We also have some staff changes I’d like to bring to your attention:

🐾 Unfortunately, our lovely Kyara has moved on to bigger and better things, with which we truly wish her (and her gorgeous dog, Sunny!) all the best.

🐾 A warm welcome to the fantastic Chelsea, who has worked at other daycares, and who you may also see at Wooof Grooming when she’s not at Capital Paws.

🐾 Groomer and trainer extraordinaire, Ella, will now also be working in the actual daycare on Wednesdays in addition to her grooming there on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

🐾 And our amazing Xandria has become Facility Manager and will basically be replacing me (as long as she still allows me to visit occasionally 😜).

Finally, thank you all so much for all of your kind words and well-wishes for this next chapter. And don’t worry, I’ll definitely be bringing bub in for some cuddles and catch ups as soon as she’s able!
