PUPPY MILESTONES:
Week Four:
Week four brings some serious cuteness! We begin to see more of the puppies personalities emerge.
In week four the puppies senses are strengthening, their eyes can see further which aids in how they interact with their environment. Their sense of smell also becomes more accurate which helps with their weaning process.
Puppies begin to have more independence, where they explore their surroundings more. They "wake up" more socially, they start to forge their relationships more with their litter mates. Their play mode also makes an appearance, which is very cute to see unfold.
Towards the end of week four, their puppy teeth begin to erupt and the fun process of teething starts. It is normal in this period for Mum to feed them less as it becomes painful, this is the natural weaning process, as pups move to more solid food.

Today the puppies had their first taste of food. Goats milk + @lykapetfood. There was a lot more licking each other than the bowls! PUPPY MILESTONES
Week three:
Increased mobility is a significant milestone in week three. Puppies start to find their legs and begin to walk (wobble) on all fours. This milestone is the reason we introduce artificial grass toilet training.
We use the "Misty Method" Toilet Training. The theory behind this concept is that we are showing and training the puppies to use a designated toileting area. We make a large potion of their whelping box toileting, to make it easy for them to make it. We also make sure the bedding area of the space stays very clean, encouraging them to use the designated space.
Week three also welcomes a change in the puppies nutrition. We begin to introduce them to Goats milk and Lyka, our human grade fresh food diet. This is a fun and messy time for the puppies! But an important milestone in their gut development.

Our goal is to equip and prepare our puppies for real world situations. Vet checks and Grooming is a very real reality for these puppies. We want them to be comfortable on the table, we want them to be able to sit on command, stand on command and be happy to be handled all over. Yoshi is looking for his forever home. He is such a fun puppy to raise. We wanted to highlight some things we love about him.
1. Yoshi was the first to explore his new pen environment. He even was the first to use the new toileting area.
2. Yoshi was the first to try Goats Milk, the first step to their new diet of Lyka.
3. He is happy to adapt and go with the flow of the new changes that come his way.
Yoshi is a beautiful Pup that will have a stunning shiny black coat. Yoshi is intelligent and will love to learn new tricks and training.

PUPPY MILESTONES
Week two:
Sight and Hearing is a big milestone for the puppies in week two. Their eyes begin to open and their ear canals begin to form. Their sight and hearing is still limited, but this is an important time to be extra gentle around them as this is a big stimulant for their little brains.
Puppies begin to recognise and interact more with their littermates. Sibling bonds can begin to form and they start their journey of play and cuddling.
First steps. In week two we can sometimes start to see the puppies taking very wobbly first steps. They experiment with getting up on all fours, they rock backwards and forwards and then often stop. They are starting to strengthen these muscles ready for walking.
Human socialisation is increased in week two - more gentle pats, continuation of ENS and allowing the puppies to become more familiar with the human touch.
