Today I found out that one of my favourite puppies has died over night. I have been looking after her and her sisters for nearly 8 years. And was just there this past long weekend. Her mum and dad are devastated and I feel their loss. Goodbye beautiful girl. I'll miss you

The worst thing about having foster fails is they are all entering the geriatric stage of life. Recently we lost Romeo and now I have had to say goodbye to Orion. He was the youngest, at 11 years, which is still a good age for a cat but he was not the one I thought I would be saying goodbye to next. His illness caught me unawares as he was always undemanding and a bit of a loner. Took him to the vets for what I thought was a mouth ulcer but turns out he was in acute kidney distress. Despite the vet's best efforts, I had to make the decision to say goodbye as his kidneys failed. He was a beautiful quirky man who would never jump onto the bench but used the drawer handles as a ladder. RIP lovely man

Just found out that one of my very first clients has crossed the rainbow bridge. 19.5 years is a grand age for a cat. Took me a while to totally win him over as he was deaf but once I did we were friends. I was even allowed to pat him. RIP Punkie. It was pleasure to look after you.
