11.06.2024 It is with great sadness that I had too farewell Caeli. She will be sadly missed at Schnauzerland. RIP Caeli run free with Sassy and Rocky and the rest of Schnauzerland crew that have gone over the Rainbow Bridge before you. Until we meet again.

08.06.2024 It is a very sad day at Schnauzerland today as we farewell Sayah. Just short of 15 years. Sayah lived the best life with Keith and Di. She was a feisty little pup, who took after her Mum Sassy in every way. She had Keith and Di wrapped around her little paw and her nickname was "Little piece of crapsh*t" She loved all the travels in the caravan but her favorite place was in the boat with Keith. As she grew older she turned into her Mum, Sassy. both loved going to Bunnings and getting as many pats as possible. Today she is running free with her Mum somewhere over the Rainbow Bridge where I hope they will be waiting for me one day. Keith and Di we are sending you all our love and hugs at this very sad time.

01.06.2024 Well after 3 weeks in hospital. I am slowly getting better. For those who don't know, 3 weeks ago I was clipping the nails on Zues when he decided to let me know he didn't like this and he nipped me. Not a bad bit but it drew blood, I finished grooming him and then went and cleaned the bite. put on some betadine and a band-aid and thought nothing more of it. The next day I felt aa bit off. but thought nothing of it. Following day, I felt as if I was getting the flu so went back to bed. By the following day. I couldn't walk for the pain. To say it was excruciating was an understatement. I spent the next week in Noosa hospital where the took a couple of xrays but didn't pick up on anything and cause I had a slight fever they treated me with anti-biotics. They eventually decided I should be sent to SCU for further tests as the pain wasn't getting any easier. At SCU for the next 5 days. I got more anti-biotics but not further tests. By this time, I was pi**ed off and Jon was pi**ed at them not doing anything so he invoked Ryans Rule. Once they got involved the tests started happening. They discovered I had an abscess on my sois muscle which was inflamed and causing the pain. They decided to drain this and I was put on the elusive list. This list doesn't appear to be visible until the minute you are called to have the tests required. Don't get me started on that freakin list. Three days later, I appeared on the list, after having nil by mouth every day until 5pm. The abcess was drained and further tests showed an infection on my aorta also caused from the bug that caused the abcess. Long story short. the bug was introduced through the dog bite, 69% 0f dogs and around 30% of cats carry this bug. So. if you have a dog or cat PLEASE take the time to read about this bug. because in severe cases it can kill you. Just follow the link below.

21.05.2024 It is was another heartbreaking day at Schnauzerland today .We had to farewell our beloved Rocky She had decided from when she was old enough to recognise all of her "hoomans" that Jon was going to be her No. 1 man. Whenever Jon went away to work she would have to go with him to the airport and she was waiting tail wagging madly whe we went back to pick him up. She was happiest when she could "assume the position" ( on her back legs up in the air) getting tummy rubs from Jon. There will be a huge hole in our lives that she filled but hopefully she is running free over the rainbow bridge with her mum Storm and her partner in crime SAssy. I was unfortunately unable to be there to to see her off as I have been in hospital for the past 2 weeks but she left this world in Jons arms, being loved by us all. R.I.P. Rocky

I saw this and had to share it being a dog lover it broke my heart
There I lay asleep on the floor,
Then all off a sudden there was a knock on the door.
A man came in holding a lead,
He said I might be a dangerous breed.
Mammy was crying, daddy looked sad,
What had I done?? Had I been bad??
I was taken to kennels, scared and alone,
I didn't know I would never go home.
The man came to get me and we went into a room.
I didn't know it would happen that soon.
The man stroked my head and I wagged my tail.
He said he was sorry, he said he had failed.
The vet walked towards me with a tear in his eye,
It wasn't his fault that I had to die.
When will they see its the deed not the breed?
When will they punish the right end off the lead?

13.02.2023 It is with the greatest sadness that I had to send Arlo over the Rainbow Bridge this morning. He has been fighting for awhile and today he let me know it was time. Not quite 2 yrs old he had a short but hopefully happy life. His favourite pass time was to hump a very large Elmo and he would look at me with disgust if I took it off him. He was loved by all of his "brothers and sisters" and me and I will miss his wild eyebrows looking at me first thinng every morning. RIP my little man, until we meet again
