I am a big advocate for “Brain Health”.
Many Microgreens contain Sulforaphane, which is a property that can do many things for our brain, such as:
- Protect and potentially improve brain conditions such as Alzheimers, Stroke, Dementia, Parkinson’s and may improve certain symptoms of Autism (ASD)
- Protect brain cells and improve memory loss
- Protects from oxidative stress caused by harmful free-radicals
Not only can it improve mental health, but there are some studies that suggest Sulforaphane has strong anti-cancer properties as well.
Broccoli sprouts, seem to have 100 times the Sulforaphane than your standard broccoli
So… it seems like Microgreens may be an extremely strong choice to adopt these superfoods into our lifestyle.
