Happy Tails Dog Grooming is a small family owned salon based in the centre of Huonville. Sarah and Tamara groom by appointment, providing a stress free and happy environment for your dogs and giving us one on one time to create a bond with your furry friends. Grooming by appointment gives us the time necessary to do the absolute best groom possible without interruption from others. depending on th

e size of your dog and the style, we aim to have the groom completed in under three hours. We provide a wide range of services, from a bath and dry to a stylish clip. Depending on your dogs coat we aim to do the groom that you want. We can groom anything as small as a Chihuahua, to a Great Dane. If a medicated shampoo is required we ask that you provide your own. We offer free consultations to discuss your dogs grooming style and to answer any questions prior to booking an appointment. We have gift certificates available to purchase for those hard to buy for friends or relatives. We were presented the Rotary Club of Huon Valley Inc. Customer Service Excellence Award. This demonstrates the professional service you will receive in the salon.

Welcome Cleo and Kang Kang all the way from Singapore!
We are looking forward to seeing them both again in a couple of months.
Kang Kang was rescued in Singapore 9 years ago and suffered from severe mange and poor health, his new owners chose the name Kang Kang, meaning "Good Health" 🩵

As of the 30th June 2024 there will be a price increase of $5 pers standard grooming service.
Grooms requiring 2 groomers will increase by $10.

With the addition of an extra groomer; we have had a few appointments open up for next week and the following week.

The Winter weather can be harsh on your dogs coat, leading to dryness, matting and increased shedding. Regular grooming during Winter is very important. Clean, healthy skin and clean brushed out coats help maintain and insulate your furry friends during these colder months.

Yesterday we received the sad news that one of our loyal regulars that we have been grooming since we started, crossed over the rainbow bridge. When we get to groom your fur babies on a regular basis we form a lovely bond with them and it's extremely sad when we receive this news.

What our grooming room looks like when we have two no shows on the same morning 😞
We now don't have the appropriate time to bring in another dog.
This is why we take a deposit and charge a fee for no shows or last minute cancellations because these empty tables dont pay our bills.
It has a huge affect on a small business when people don't come to an appointment.
Please keep this in mind when we ask for a deposit or charge and extra fee for not showing up. 🩵
Please remember that our courtesy messages are only that. We do not have to send reminders. It is up to each individual as an adult to remember their appointments.
