Did you know that keeping your dog (short or long hair) on a regular grooming schedule is just as important in the winter as it is in the summer?

Winter weather can be harsh on your dog's fur, leading to dryness, matting, and increased shedding. Regular grooming sessions during this season help maintain a healthy coat by removing dirt, oils, bacteria, debris, and dead hair that can cause skin irritation and hot spots.

Happy Sunday!

Just letting all my amazing puppers and hoomans know I’m heading on holiday, from the 23rd of march to the 8th of April to very cold Victoria!

If you haven’t booked in please do so, so your pupper stays fresh and not fuzzy.

I won’t be able to book people in while I’m away so if you are wanting after that date booking now will ensure you get the spot you want.

Did you know:

- A puppy’s initial experiences at a grooming salon can set the stage for how they respond to being groomed for the rest of their life. Desensitising them to the sights, sounds, smells and handling, starting at a young age makes it easier to work with dogs and reduces stress on your furbaby in the long run for future grooms.

- It's especially important for breeds with curly or wavy hair that their coats are routinely maintained so they won't have to be shaved bald. We recommend seeing a professional groomer at least once a month for a puppy grooms or maintenance groom for those keeping the dog’s coat long.

- Proper nail trimming will help with posture. When a dog’s nails are too long it can make standing and walking awkward, and can be painful for them. Allowing nails to grow to long lets the quick (blood supply) grow out with it, once grown out it can take a very long time of regular nail trims to draw it back.

- It allows for early detection of skin or fur problems, Taking your puppy to dog grooming early on is an ideal opportunity for your dog groomer to thoroughly examine their skin, coat, nails, ears, and paws.

- And……….They will look even cuter than they do now!
