Amazing news all 5 love bird eggs have hatched and so far all have made it. I have 3 inside with me feeding them and these two will mum and dad which I will pull when a little older.

Please take time to make arrangements for your pets. If possible pull them inside to enjoy the cool aircon, make some frozen treats and fresh cool water over the place. Our pets feel the heat just as bad as we do and they can over heat so quickly. I do not suggest walking your pets in this time unless you go extremely early when its dark n cool or very very late afternoon. Its now 4:10 and still sitting at 33° so just imagine how hot the path, roads and sand will be.

🚨 EXTREME WEATHER WARNING 🚨

Severe to extreme heatwave conditions are forecast until the end of the week, from Rockhampton to Cairns.

The Bureau of Meteorology says a heatwave is any long period of very hot weather, usually 37°C to 42°C.

During heatwaves, there is an increase in emergency calls from people suffering heat-related illnesses. While the very young and the elderly are most at risk, anyone can be affected.

Heat-related illness occurs when the body absorbs too much heat. This may happen slowly over a day or two of very hot weather. Act quickly to avoid serious—or even fatal—effects of fully developed heat stroke.

Spending time with my boy Odin ❤ there is honestly something special about this boy.. like he understands me on some level.

I spoke with him today whilst we watched the news. Asked him what he wanted basically atm I can't give him that time but eventually I'll be able to and for him to just give me some form of sign on what to do.

I haven't had this boy out in over a month and still being a baby is crucial with having a great handraised bird. But none the less with a little coaching we managed to get to this point him resting on my shoulder.

He listened to me and just watched me when I just sat there and said what do I do he just got his little head and rested into mine.

And we just sit for a minute. He then bite my ear but I take that as well there now moment.

Sometimes in life we don't pick our familiars they pick us.

Just like we don't always pick our 4 legged companions they find us when the time is needed.

My beautiful boy Odin is on the hunt for his new adventure. Unfortunately I dont have the time for him like I used to and he is getting lonely and bored.

This is not one of my babies I breed and he is dna male.

Only the best of the best homes for him please.
He will require a lot of patience and consistent work. He is flighty atm but can be brought back to being friendly. He is extremely curious and wants to be out exploring with some TLC he will make an absolutely beautiful boy for someone who can commit to his needs and that will have the time home with him.

Only genuine people to message me please. If you can not cater for him or just want him because he is gorgeous then he is not the right fit for you.

He is a stubborn boy and very smart he knows how to get out of cages so you will need to make sure your cage is Odin escape proof.

Hope everyone had a great Xmas and a safe new years. Just a reminder that we are supposed to be getting some hot horrible days please keep your birds water topped up and fresh daily even an extra bowl of water for bathing in if your at work and can't give them a hose down.

Please also think of our wildlife who may also struggle in the heat leaving some water in a safe and shady place will help them stay hydrated and cool.

Hey guys hope everyone is keeping cool and your feathered friends are doing good with all this heat around. Just a reminder that now its heating up our slithery friends are on the move unfortunately iv had my first dealing with a green tree snake and lost 4 budgies. Keep yards maintained and clear to the visible eye, please check daily on your feathered friends as they will go through there water alot quicker now.

Please keep some water available in a shaded spot for our wildlife and roaming pets that have gotten out.

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and a safe new years. I look forward to our breeding season next year ❤
