Two girls in desperate need of a foster carer each - and time is running out to help them. 🖤🤍🖤

Cleo and Nori have been with temporary foster carers since they were saved at the last minute from going to the pound. But their temporary care is coming to an end for each of them. 🐱🐱😭

We desperately need a foster home for each of these young girls. We've had all their vet work done and are trying so hard to help them - but we cannot do this alone.

🐱 CLEO: https://www.petrescue.com.au/listings/1024250
Her elderly carer has developed an allergy and also needs to travel interstate to see her son, so we urgently need to find a safe haven for this lively little miss.

🐱 NORI: https://www.petrescue.com.au/listings/1028344
Her young carers, both university students, are leaving the country and we've got just two weeks to find her somewhere else to live, even if it is just for a few months.

🙏 Please help us to help them. SHARE this post and help spread the word to find carers for these loving girls.

🛑 If you can help please send us a private message or email [email protected] for all the details.

❗️HOT WEATHER WARNING FOR MELBOURNE TODAY ❗️

📞 1300 385 874
🏥 36 Lonsdale St, Dandenong

As we experience today’s heat wave in Melbourne, it’s important all pet owners are on alert for their pets well being.

📍Over 24 degrees you should be on alert
📍Over 28 degrees you should be on HIGH alert and actively making safe decisions for your pet.

Heat stress is an emergency and can be deadly.

• Avoid exercising your pet in the heat (consider early in the morning or late at night if temperature permits)
• Ensure lots of water and shade is available or bring your pet indoors into air conditioning (recommended)
• Ensure close monitoring and frequent checks on your pets
• NEVER leave pets unattended in hot cars

Signs of heat stroke may include:
• Hypersalivation
• Difficulty breathing
• Bright red gums
• Collapse

If you are concerned your pet may be suffering from heat stroke, contact your CLOSEST veterinarian immediately.

Our friends at Greencross Vets have some great advice here:

15/01/2024

As most of you likely know, the veterinary industry is currently experiencing a national shortage of F3 and FIV vaccinations. NPAH has unfortunately run out of all FIV vaccines, and only have enough F3 vaccines to last for the cats and kittens currently booked in.

The national advice right now is to keep your cats strictly indoors, where they are less likely spread or pickup disease. We are currently running off a call back list for when the vaccinations should come back in stock, so if your cat is due for vaccination and you would like to be notified of when we have stock again, please contact the clinic.

If you are at all concerned about your cat’s health, please contact us.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Spring is just around the corner and you may have already noticed fledgling birds out and about.

Spending up to two weeks on the ground while they’re learning to fly with help from their parents, a fledgling bird is fully feathered (but might look a little fluffy).

It’s important to know that this is completely normal, it might look like they’re alone, but their parents are often close by getting food.

The best action is to leave them be and give them space, which also means keeping your pets away from them on walks.

Of course, if they’ve ventured onto a road or into immediate danger, you can carefully scoop them back onto the closest grass or garden. It’s a common myth that parents will abandon young birds if touched by a human – this is not true.

Thank you to our friends at Wildlife Victoria for the super cute photo. 💖

Donations can be dropped off or delivered to:
📌 HAMPTON PARK: 53 Lesley Drive
📌NOBLE PARK NORTH: 25 Kingswood Cres
📌BORONIA: 51 Paton Cres
📌CLYDE NORTH: 8 Carnelian Circuit

🐱 Donations are also being accepted at our vet clinic, Noble Park Animal Hospital, 1169 Heatherton Rd, Noble Park, during normal business hours Monday-Friday or until noon Saturdays.

💙 If you would prefer to make a financial contribution instead, we have several easy options here: https://www.dandycatrescue.org.au/donate-1

*** WE NEED YOUR HELP ***
Aquaria was recently adopted through our rescue and she has escaped her new home - we are desperate to find her and reunite her with her adopters.

Aquaria was just getting used to her new home in Endeavour Hills when she escaped and ran off. She is unfamiliar with the area, and had previously been in foster care in Hampton Park.

Aquaria is a very friendly girl who adores people. She will likely be hiding somewhere close by and has perhaps turned up unexpectedly at someone's home. She is street smart and has survived on her own capabilities in the past.

We have flagged Aquaria's microchip as missing with Central Animal Records Australia and have enacted all the obvious search mechanisms.

Aquaria is desexed, microchipped and vaccinated.

🙏 We are asking everyone to please share this post with family and friends as well as missing pet sites that you know of. We are desperate to find her, she is very much missed.

Please help us find Aquaria and bring her home.
