Product information BURST for pets suffering from Anxiety & Stress!

So here are some products that may help provide you and your pet with that sense of CALM.

For your dog there are several options from Adaptil products to PAWS Complete calm chews.

Adaptil is a great product containing a mother dog pheromone replicate that is odourless to humans, but aids in providing that sense of security & calm. Adaptil comes in a range of forms to help suit.

Adaptil Spray: ideal to use for your cat or dog on specific occasions, where anxiety is triggered, such as a car trip or having visitors. The spray can be used by spraying onto a hanky and tying it to your dog’s collar for outdoor activities, such as walks, behavioural training and socialising (refer to photo for example).
Adaptil Defuser: fantastic in creating calming spaces for your cat or dog by dedicating the diffuser to a specific room.

Adaptil Collar: best for dogs living outdoors, dog walks and used along with behavioural training and socializing.

Along with Adaptil or as an alternative, you can use Paws Complete Calm Chews. Given as a daily tasty treat the chew contains vitamins and minerals to help support your dog’s nervous system and has the active ingredient Trytophan (amino acid) to help keep a sense of calm.

Feel free to speak to one our friendly team members at Greencross Werribee for further information or simply try it on your next visit to the vets.

Please note, none of these products are a cure for anxiety, but are a great supporting product, along with Vet & behaviourist advice.

Puppy day at Greencross Werribee!

These two cuties came in for their second vaccinations today. Albert is a Neapolitan mastiff and is going to grow into quite a big boy! Moana is a cocker spaniel (and a Disney Princess).

Puppies require three vaccinations to ensure they are fully protected. The first vaccine is often given at the breeder's vets and we normally see them for their second vaccine at ten to twelve weeks old.

Some puppies will be protected after this injection but sometimes the immunity that puppies receive from their mother (which will interfere with the vaccine) persists for longer than this and, as such, we give them a third vaccine at 14-18 weeks old to make sure they are fully protected.
