Sadly not a nice post, but we are just trying to locate the owners of two cats brought in at different times today. Both cats we deceased on arrival and involved in motor vehicle accidents. Our condolences to anyone missing a cat that matches the description. I can assure you, we have taken them into our care to look after whilst we tried to locate their families

Cat 1 - FOUND IN HIGHGATE near Chu Bakery
Male, sterilised, domestic shorthair, tabby, 1 year old
Microchipped however this cat was rehomed and the new owners details are not on this microchip. The previous owner was not able to assist us in locating them.

Cat 2 - FOUND MT LAWLEY
Male, Entire, No Collar, No ID
Age - unknown, adult
Black and white, domestic short hair

Sandy is still looking for a forever home.
She is such a sweet young cat. She is roughly ~1 and is still very playful and fun, but more settled then a little kitten.
She loves to play and would be a fantastic assistant to anyone working from home. She takes a keen interest in whatever it is that you are doing.

She is however not a fan of dogs, and would prefer to live in a home without one.

She loves to fetch things, explore and is very affectionate. If you would like to meet this sweet girl, give the clinic a call.

CAT ADOPTION CENTRE

Sandy is available for adoption through our cat adoption program. She’s the mother of Noodles and Doodles.
Sandy is roughly 1 years old, recently speyed, microchipped and vaccinated (indoor cat).

Does not appear to be a fan of dogs 🐕

Sandy is a very sweet, active, playful girl. She was an excellent mother and is only a baby herself. She loves being cuddled and patted. She enjoys “helping” around the office zooming, playing, leaping, bounding and generally being involved.
She is quite vocal and may or may not be suitable for content creation as a cat-fluencer🤓

It is with great sadness that we share with you that our beautiful Leo passed away last week, surrounded by the staff who have loved, cared, and cherished him over the years.
Leo suddenly fell ill and was diagnosed with pancreatic carcinoma, which had spread throughout his little body. We tried everything possible, but unfortunately it was a very aggressive and rapidly progressive disease and he deteriorated quickly.

Leo was brought to our clinic in 2020, as a little 12-week-old kitten. He was found by a member of the public collapsed and semi paralysed in a garden. He had a broken pelvis, diaphragmatic hernia, was under weight and in poor condition. Leo was saved and nursed back to health by our staff and later went onto have specialist surgery at Animalius Vet to repair the diaphragmatic hernia.

Leo has been a comforting and welcoming presence over the years, with many clients and patients enjoying their interactions with him. He was often found sprawled out on our reception desk, sitting at the window or cat post behind the reception desk, rolling around the floor.

Leo was the most incredible cat, he was gentle, patient, funny and obviously just gorgeous. He made our workplace that extra bit special, cheered us up on difficult days and provided us with much entertainment. He was wonderful with other animals, loved to groom and investigate our cat adoption kittens. He was loved by staff, clients, and patients alike.
It was a privilege to have cared for him and loved him. As you can imagine our staff are devastated by this sudden loss and still coming to terms with it, we appreciate your understanding at this time.

We will miss you Leo the lion, you were so very loved❤️

Do you have your pet protected against Heartworm?

Heartworm (Dirofilaria immitis) is a parasitic disease that can infect your pets through mosquito bites, although rare, it can have serious complications for our pets. The Perth metropolitan area very rarely sees positive cases, with many of these cases being from patients who have a travel history outside of the Perth metro area.
There has been however a recent positive case picked up in Joondanna, in a patient who had no travel history outside of Perth. This serves as a good reminder to ensure our pets are kept up to date with heartworm prevention, as the complications associated with this parasite can be very serious and costly.

Meet Harlow & Honey
"We are looking for a new home together".

From the owner:
My two beautiful boys need a new home. I am going to be working away as a locum and won’t be home for numerous extended periods of time. Sadly, for me it would best for them to have someone at home, so I have had to make this hard decision for their happiness.

Harlow (the Chocolate) and Honey (the Gold) are the most affectionate and chilled cats. They are used to being inside but do lay out the back (fenced off) in the sun in autumn and spring. They love having their belly and cheeks rubbed, great with children (and grandchildren), so patient. Harlow loves to carry his toy around. They are not constant talkers, are used to cat litter trays and are comfortable having their claws are clipped regularly.

They are three-year-old Australian Mists (Golden Marble and Chocolate Marbled) Registered legal papers – bred by Aacarmar in Queensland – a premium Australian Mist Breeder. Fully vaccinated, sterilised, microchipped and have been under the watchful eye of a vet each year. No illnesses or any underlying issues at all. The vet can confirm this. As kittens (brothers) they were inseparable, and they still are ☺

If you think you could be their new parent and give them lots of love and a wonderful home, please make contact and we can arrange for you to experience these wonderful boys and see if you would like to adopt them.

Meet Jackie!
She is a 17 week old ball of complete joy.
I am the lucky last of my litter and looking for my forever home. I am a domestic shorthair with a beautiful soft coat.
I would prefer to be in an only pet home or may require an extended period to adjust to other animals.

Things I like...
Playing - I chase, I pounce, I climb and zooooooom! But I also can play quite rough so may not be suitable to a home with small kids or anyone with sensitive skin.
Snoozing - I love to snooze in bed with you, on the couch, on your chairs, all around!
Cuddles - if I am not in a crazy mood, I can be quite the snuggle bug.

Things I like less...
Other animals, I can adjust... eventually. But please keep this in mind if you have other pets. It may be a long process for me to adapt to living with other animals.
Being bored ... I am a pocket rocket and really like being able to get my energy out. If you are wanting a quiet kitten, I am not the right fit. I am lively and a little bit nuts!

This baby bird was left on our doorstep this morning with no information from where it came from. It’s a 100 % healthy wattle bird and is called a ‘fledgling’. At this stage of life they will flutter around, learning to fly and manoeuvre. This bird needs to be returned to the area it was found as birds are very territorial.

We would be very grateful if whoever dropped this bird down, could make contact with us and pass on the relevant information.

Your Pets Vet PATIENT OF THE DAY is proudly awarded to Clyde for fantastic behaviour. Clyde came in to see us today for x-rays because he has a sore leg. He was so well behaved and patient for his vet and nurses throughout his procedure, and didn't have a single complaint during his injections. Thanks for being such a good boy Clyde!
