What's your plan??? ⛈️ 🔥 📛
Do you have a plan if you need to get out of your home asap? What will you do with your pets? Can you move your pets from your home fast?

Tomorrow it is predicted that SEQ, along with many other regions, could have another round of severe storms with flood warnings already in place.

What does our mum do during a storm or other natural disaster...
🔸️During a storm our rattos stay locked in their home cage so mum knows where they are at all times
🔸️There is a carry cage ready on top of their home cage in the case that we need to evacuate
🔸️We have an evacuation pack ready to grab & go! This consists of food, medication, fist aid supplies & extra bedding

We can only say this - please BE PREPARED!!
We have already seen the damage of severe storms this week throughout SEQ with many people still without power or homes.

Stay safe everyone & get your plans ready so that your animals can be safe. It doesn't hurt to have a plan!

A melted Charlie here to remind you to make sure your pets 🐀🐹🐶 & wildlife 🐦🦘 have cool options during heatwaves!!

🔹️WATER 💧
🔹️SHADE & SHELTER
🔹️FROZEN WATER BOTTLES OR CANS OF VEGETABLES (we use tomatoes) ❄️🍅
🔹️COTTON HAMMOCKS
🔹️CHILLED TILES OR PLATES
🔹️FRESH AIRFLOW
🔹️FROZEN FRUIT 🫐 AND VEG🌽 IN SHALLOW DISHES OF WATER FOR FISHING 🎣

For wildlife, put a shallow bowl of water out in the garden under some shade. Make sure there is a stick or rock in deeper water so birds & critters can climb out 🦘🐨🐦🦎🐍🐸🐝
