Garlic tips from US to YOU ⭐
🌱Garlic is easy to plant. In late fall, put each individual clove with the pointy end up about an inch and a half in the ground, and cover it with straw.
1️⃣In the summer, when the scape (the seed pod) has curled once, cut it off, so the energy goes into making the bulb, not the seeds.
2️⃣Once the first 2-3 leaves turn brown. You can harvest your bulbs.
3️⃣Let them cure for 2-3 weeks in a dark, airy place to develop the paper on the outside (we usually hang the entire plant in bunches). Cut off the stem and clean of dirt, and store in a cool place.
4️⃣Can last up to 10 months. You can peel puree and freeze to keep longer, dehydrate, and bust up for powder.
