Hey everyone! We'll have some updates next week!

Hi everyone, Aaron here.
We're temporarily closed due to some legal issues with the landlord.
These issues are non-monetary (does not have to do with rent). I'd love to expand on them but I'm not sure what I can say at this point, but the they've made offers for us to move which we've politely turned down.

We're resolving this as quickly as we can, we do not have a timeline right now. It could be short or even medium term closure.

My personal number for everyone to reach me at is 519 781-3517.

I'm providing daycare and overnight boarding meanwhile in Kitchener.

I'm also referring people to a daycare I can say I trust with 1000% certainty, which is Puptown Waterloo.

Between these two options I am confident we can provide seamless care meanwhile.

I am terribly sorry for the inconvenience caused and will keep everyone posted on progress here.

Hey everyone!
It's kennel cough season. Here's a few tips you should know!

Kennel cough is often mistaken as ' the noise dogs make when they pull too hard on their leash'
It sounds like retching.

Kennel cough is like the dog version of a cold, but has a 2 week incubation period. This makes it impossible for all kennels to prevent and is naturally a part of socialization.

Kennel cough is incredibly contagious, but your dog will gain immunity from that strain. They can even get it from touching an object in a store or booping noses with a different dog in the park.

Aaron gives his dog honey water and rest and they're good to go once the mucus stops!

The vaccine, while still incredibly useful, only covers a small portion of the circulating strains.

Other kennels, vet clinics and pet stores are reporting high case counts right now as well. It's normal to have a wave or two a year!

Call Aaron if you need reassurance and try the honey water 🍯💧!

Hey everyone! We're hosting a discussion panel regarding dog training methods and their approach to common problems.

I'm looking for 3-4 trainers or dog handlers to come on to discuss both methodology and the 'why' on tackling common behaviours.

It will be moderated and I'm certain it will be insightful for the community to watch and engage.

We'll do opening statements/introductions.

Then we will have open floor discussion for various topics.

Then near the end we will take questions and answers from the community and have individual responses from the panel members to the public's questions.

If interested, please pm me with why you'd like to participate and your training philosophy. I'm hoping for diversity in training styles. Thank you!

Our very fancy Glass door kennels have begun completion. We will have 25 glass door rooms available for our overnight boarders and early drop offs. Within a few weeks they will all be completed and we will have an entirely new early drop off program. Please inquire for a refreshed code and instructions.

The new entrance for early drop offs in particular will be the far door. We're super excited for this massive upgrade to the quality of our care. We'll post pictures of the new Doggy Bedrooms shortly!

Archie and Friend's is now looking for Volunteers for weekdays and weekends at our Dog Daycare! This could lead to potential employment for those looking for more.

We're looking for durable people that are confident, have patience with animals and are teamwork oriented. We do not recommend clients apply as your dog cannot be present at daycare during volunteer hours. This is to prevent 'territorial' or 'possessive' behaviors that often lead to altercations.

Please send us a PM directly if you or anyone you know would love to work with the dogs! Duties will include:
-Picking up and mopping up after the dogs
-Maintaining a fun and controlled atmosphere
-Moving dogs for feeding or to rest.

Lots of exciting things to share in this new year!

Noise proofing has arrived! We'll be dampening our entire facility which will not only improve the human experience, but also the dog's experience too! This will be installed within the next two weeks!

Second, we have 25 custom doors that have, after many delays, been shipped! Here's a video of the new tempered glass doors for our doggy suites! Daycare/boarding/ and early drop off will have access to these beautiful dog suites. Early drop off dogs will have the pleasure in using rooms in place of crates.
