Dear clients,
It is with great pleasure that we are announcing the re-opening, with limited hours, of Izy’s Doghouse as of July 3rd! We are now taking new reservations for this summer.

**Please read carefully the following statement as we have many changes**

Our operating hours will be limited due to the fact that all airports remain on hold. This means that we will not have enough vacation boarders during weekdays to be open. We will be open for weekend boarding only. Our daycare and shuttle services will also remain on hold for the time being. We will be open all Fridays from 4-6pm to Sundays 4-6pm. We will also be open on Mondays of long weekends.

As means of infection control and to take our part in controlling the COVID-19 pandemic, we added some new and improved procedures to ensure everyone’s safety.

1) We will only accept food, treats, leash/collar and medication/supplements for belongings (all bedding will be provided by the center).
2) No clients will be allowed in the center. All drop-off and pick-ups will be held outside.
3) All clients will have allotted times for drop-off and pick-up to prevent crowding.
4) As usual, the center will be disinfected thoroughly everyday.
5) Staff will take extra precautions and will follow proper hand hygiene while handling your belongings and your dog.
6) All dogs will be dried shampooed before leaving the center to prevent cross contamination.

*A gentle reminder that dogs can not get infected by this virus. The canine coronavirus is a different strain and was already existent. *

Also note that we have changed our information and policies forms as well as our rates. Everyone with existing booking will be grandfathered at our old rates but all new reservations will be charged at our new rates. Please understand that we will be overwhelmed with booking requests, but that we will answer you as promptly as possible. We kindly ask you to only send one message to one place to avoid any confusion.

We also encourage you to book in advance, as we have limited space, and we fully book for weekends fast!
We are very excited to see all our clients and to spend time with your furr babies!

COVID-19 UPDATES- SHUTTING DOWN SERVICES UNTIL APRIL 15TH, 2020

Dear clients,
as you are probably aware, many new cases of COVID-19 has been reported in the surrounding areas. It is with these unfortunate events that we declare a closure of our daycare, boarding and shuttle services for the safety of our staff, our clients and the general public. We will be closed until April 15th, where we will then re-evaluate the circumstances of the pandemic and determine if we will resume services as usual. This means all reservations for the next month will be canceled and no new reservations will be taken for the time being. If you have a reservation made with us before April 15th, we will contact you directly to cancel it. All reservations after April 15th, 2020 will remain scheduled until further notice. An email will be sent to those that have reservations made with us in the near future for further updates on the matter.

As a dog boarding facility, we board several dogs from clients that have been traveling to other countries. This leaves our centre at high risk for contamination. The World Health Organization and American Veterinary Medical Association has also released a statement that dogs can carry the virus on their coat for up to 6 days and can infect people in their surroundings. As preventive measures, we recommend that you wash your dog’s coat if he/she has recently been picked up from a kennel.

DOGS ALREADY UNDER OUR CARE:
If your dog is already in our care, he/she can stay until the determined pick up time. Given the circumstances, if you wish to pick-up your dog earlier, we will void any and all cancellation fees. For infection control reasons, we will greet you outside the kennel to hand you your dog and his/her belongings. To prevent possible contamination, we kindly ask you not to enter the centre. We will also only accept email transfers as a method of payment for the time being.

Puppy Play date!

The puppy play date will be held in a controlled environment with a certified dog trainer on site to supervise and offer tips and recommendations. The play date will help your puppy with his communication skills, his confidence and make him burn all that extra energy in a safe place! Owners will also have the chance to talk and bond as furr parents! The purpose of the controlled environment is to decrease the chances of illness, injury, aggression, fear and have all those benefits at the same time!
