Are you trimming your dog's nails regularly?

Trimming your dog's nails may not seem that important, but it's actually very important for your dog's overall health. Regular nail trims are important for many reasons, including proper posture! Long nails can also cause decreased traction, affect mobility, and even cause pain. Additionally, long nails are at a higher risk of catching easily and can break or tear off.

It's important to keep your dog's nails short so that they don't touch the ground. Aim to trim your dog's nails every 2 weeks, based on your pup's growth rate. At the very least, nails should be trimmed every 4 weeks.

Hey everyone!

I still have a few spots for Patio Pup, Pack Walk and Group Puppy Class this month!

PATIO PUP - August 11th @ 9AM

In this class, we will be focusing on perfecting you’re down/stays with distractions, ignoring people and other dogs passing by, ignoring food distractions and more. The class will have a limit of 6 dogs and will last for 1 hour. The cost per dog is $25.

PACK WALK - August 18th @ 9AM

Join us for a structured pack walk in Chilliwack! The walk will begin with some leash drills and pass-bys. The walk will last 1-1.5 hours. Cost is $10 per dog, free for Unleash Freedom clients.

GROUP PUPPY CLASS - August 31st @ 9AM

In this class, we will focus on teaching your puppy all the basic commands, such as sit, down, place, loose leash walking, recall, and more! The class is 1 hour long. It's $20 per puppy. For puppies 8 months and under.

Introducing the Walk & Train program! Keep reading to learn more⬇️

I've always done training sessions at parks, but for the summer months, I have decided to offer this program at a discounted price!

We will meet at the Fairfield Park for the sessions and focus on the following; loose leash walking, leash reactivity, obedience training around distractions, and more!

Here are the details:
- Sessions are available in 30-minute or 1-hour slots.
- 30 minutes: $40
- 1 hour: $60
- All Walk & Train sessions will be held at Fairfield Park. Please note that the discounted price will not apply if we meet at a different park.
- Available for booking on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays (9am-6pm).
- Open to everyone! You don't have to be a current client to book a Walk & Train session. However, if we've never worked together before, you will be required to have an in-person consultation before booking.

This program will only be available at this discounted price during the summer months!

Introducing the Day Training Program! Keep reading to learn more! ⬇️

Our day training program is customized for each individual dog. We always start with the basics, such as loose leash walking, sit and down stay, place, and off-leash recall. In addition to the basics, the program is highly customizable, allowing us to work towards your specific goals.

During the day, your dog will have 3-4 training sessions, have off-leash play with other dogs (if appropriate), go for an on-leash walk or use the treadmill/slatmill, have free time in a fenced yard, and rest in a crate. We will also reinforce all your dogs manners, such as no jumping, waiting at thresholds, etc.

When you pick up your dog in the evening, we will explain what we worked on. We will often provide you with homework emails and videos to continue working on these behaviors at home.

Please take note of the following:

- This program is only available to past and present clients.
- Dogs must be fully crate and potty trained.
- The program will be limited to two dogs per day, so space will be very limited.
- The program will only run on Tuesdays and Wednesdays
-Price is $90 per day. (Book multiple days and save!)
- Drop off times are from 8am to 10am, and pick up times are from 4pm to 6pm.
- Any dog that is picked up after 6:00 PM will be subject to a late pick-up fee.
-Must be up to date on vaccinations.

Next leash reactivity classes are May 10th and 25th!

This class is a safe and structured environment to help you and your dog work through leash reactivity or excitement around other dogs.

The focus of this class will be on working through leash reactivity, whether it is due to excitement, aggression, fear, or frustration. We will work on improving handler engagement, leash-handling skills, neutrality, loose leash walking, and more. To ensure individual attention, this class will be limited to 4 dogs and 2 handlers per dog.

The class costs $35 per dog and lasts for 1 hour. It is ONLY open to past and present clients. If you're not sure whether your dog is a good fit for the class, just send me a message, and we can chat about it!
