Misty is what we call “been there done that” kind of lady ! Shes easy going, easy and fun to ride !

She waits for her rider , honest and safe safe to send a run on her ! She knows her job , and she will give you everything you ask her ! She will go slow to help you gain confidence and experience, but she will send it if your ready to put a time on the timer 🐎 jackpots or rodeo, doesnt matter to her, shes done it before ! Walks in and out the arena. Some of my students that has never been around a barrel took her to a jackpot, even a rodeo and she was just a real babysitter ! This mare is gold material.

Has been roped off of , worked with cows in the pasture, been in the mountains/trail rides.

Nicely built, Big bones, solid feet , thick lady. She could definitely work for your husband to tag along on some mountains trip ! Not spooky head at all , not heard bound.
She easy to load in the trailer , easy to haul everywhere. Ties forever , wherever, stands for the farrier, shes quiet and fun to be around. UTD shots, dewormer, teeth, farrier.

She requires normal minimal maintenance. Was seen by a vet just a month ago ( xrays available and documentation available )

Here’s the lucky one who has welcomed“BADGER” in her family 🖤

Badger was in consignment at the ranch. He has been everyone’s favourite in our lesson program and summer camps, and won a lot of little kids hearts 🥹

I wish we could keep them all ! We will sure miss our Badger boy , but we all know how much love he will get in his new home and that warms up our hearts 🖤

Here’s a fun ride for the family! 🐎

13yo 🚹 15,2hh brown grade Qh cross

We call him Kitten (my students renamed him 😅 )

Kitten is a sweet, honest and big hearted boy. Hes been there and done that , hes not a spooky type at all . Has done all the events in gymkhana and he loves it ! Barrels , poles, small jumps, rides in or outside the arena. Has done trails in group and alone . He has a good walk and can go all day ! He has nice, solid legs and feet . He has the smoothest trot and lope ! No buck rear bolts. He rides western or english , has a nice woah, and has some buttons. Hes not a dead head, but hes not a hot head either. I would put a confident beginner/intermediate rider on him ! He can sit for a while, and just swing a leg over and go !
He gets along with mares or gelding, doesn’t matter to him. Mid/low in the heard

Hes bred 3/4 QH , 1/4 Arabian, has a nice and smooth stride, and is very athletic, but solid built.

He does not require any maintenance. His only thing is coughing. I have LOTS of sand, dust and wind at my place, and they are all on hay 24/7, so hes been coughing quite a bit when we ride. With his owner, he was 24/7 on pasture , with hay in the winter and never had any issues. Price reflects that.

UTD dewormer - vax - dentist - farrier.

Oh Duke you gentle giant 🖤 you are one special gentle giant and you definitely won a lot of people’s heart around the ranch 🥰

We have met Lyle at the packing clinic we organized last winter . Lyle has been looking for a new partner to add to his small heard. He came to look at another horse, but ended up falling for Duke ( which I knew that would happen 🫣 they clicked right away! It was a hard goodbye, but I know for sure that he is in great hands !

Congrats to you Lyle , and thank you for trusting wild west ranch Alberta ! Take good care of our big Duke, hes a special dude 🖤💙

Well broke ! W/T/L , nice stop, back up, leg yield , side past, rollback, spin.
Rides in or out the arena
With or without friends
Can’t say if he has more go or more woah, he really just adjusts to whatever his rider wants , he wants to please !
He knows his barrel pattern, can high lope them pretty well but hes never been pushed . Played in the poles pattern, as well as small jumps !

He has been our #1 super star lesson mount . He suits any level of riders, kids or adults. Hes been around 16 tiny kids running around, painting and decorating him, 7 all size dogs racing around him, cats , goats, chickens, quads, name it.
He used to live in pasture with cows.

UTD vax/dewormers/teeth/feet
Stand tied well and everywhere, easy to load , easy to catch.

🚹 Grullo 5yo 16,2hh draft cross

Duke is a kind and HANDSOME gentle giant.
UTD dewormer/vax/farrier and had his teeth done just in June. Easy load,tie, can be a little shy at catching but were talking walking away for 2 minutes, and not all the time. Hes at the bottom of the heard , gets along with both geldings and mares.

Nicely built, big and solid feet, and athletic!
He has a nice stop , backs up, w/t/l , responds well to leg pressure. He needs a bit more work on steering and collection. Been ridden in and outside the arena, we hauled him out in the mountains 6 times and hes a tank ! He will go all day, across deep rivers, over stumps, nothing fears him! He has a good solid walk.

This guy has a kind eye, doesn’t have a mean bone in him! He is smart and wants to please.

He is not a kid or beginner horse just yet. I had confident intermediate 14yo and adults riding him and hes been great . Wont take much for him to be a good husband mount !

Our team’s purpose is to facilitate your journey with high quality foundation training. It is our goal to teach what you need to know not only around a horse, but around the ranch as well. Weather you’re in the saddle or doing ground work, we aim to get every camper comfortable with different types of horses and animals. Body language, physiology, history, basic care, and so much more will be key components for any great future rider to learn and develop.

First horse is always special, definitely something big !

bush has been taking lessons, leasing and competing with me for 3 years . Not long ago, Amy and her family bought their very first horse, Frenchie !

Watching my students growing not only as riders, but also as horsemen/horsewomen makes me feel so proud 🖤 Those big happy smiles reminds me how much I love teaching, and love my barn family 🥰

A couple weeks ago, we went for a little rodeo road trip to Golden,Bc !

What a fun weekend ! Being out in the mountains surrounded by friends , making good memories, having a break mid weekend and having a little mountain adventure 🖤 Some good runs were made, bringing home some cash money and nice prizes 🤪we even got to run some poles for the first time in a very long time !

We will be back thats for sure ! Hopefully bringing the students with me next time 🐎

Just like we love to say.. everyday is a new adventure 🤷🏼‍♀️🙃

We have been busy at the ranch in the last couple of weeks working on new programs, building and fixing , preparing for the summer, while giving lessons, playing in the mud and rodeoing 🐎

Prada is a beautiful and smart lady. She is a smooth ride, and a fast learner. She she w/t/l , has a nice stop, back up, starting to spin, moves her shoulders and her hips, leg pressure, side pass, collection. Shes both automatic yet, but shes honest and has a big heart!
Rides western or english, been in the mountains, took her over some jumps as well and she loves it ! She is curious and brave. We did some cowboy challenge obstacle with her and never even hesitated .
We tried her with a packing saddle and the full set up during our packing clinic and she was just PERFECT ! Would suit an intermediate/confident ride. My 12-14yo students has been riding her and loves her ! Shes got solid feet , and UTD on everything. She is so smart and fun to work with !
