Hey Everyone! I hope you've all been doing well! Things have been quiet here, which has led me to finally make some somewhat tough decisions that I want to share first and foremost with you great folks here...

Truth be told, my heart is simply not in these projects anymore. I have loved breeding and hatching these gorgeous creatures for years, and I will always cherish those memories and the experience I gained from it, but it's time for a change for me. I have been introducing my males and females, but with less frequency these last couple years. I think the ladies have felt my lackluster vibe too, as they don't seem to be giving up those beautiful eggies like they used to. But perhaps that is for the best, I have come to realize. That said, I am planning to sell/rehome most of my small collection of scaley beauties with 2 or 3 exceptions. Some are seasoned breeders, others are younger or more suited as pets. If any of you are interested in being their new home for any, feel free to contact me. I will also most likely be parting with my adult snake rack once I have moved everyone out of it.

I have not come to this decision lightly. As a small, frugal breeder, it took me years to get to even this small batch of followers and amazing customers. But I have been mulling over this decision for a good long while, at least a year or more. And as my life is slowly evolving into it's next phase, I am finding I don't have the same passion I once had for this hobby. But I am okay with that. I enjoyed many great years doing something I loved, and now it's time to move onto the next big thing in my life that will bring me joy. These animals deserve someone who will be passionate about them, too.

Nephthis, my beautiful Cinnamon girl will 110% be one of the ones i keep. She is my sweet queen and one of the first snakes i ever owned. I truly love her and intend to use this opportunity to set her up with a nice pimped out enclosure as i make more space in my reptile room. I am also debating whether to keep my princess Super cinnamon Anubis as well as my Queen Bee male as a possible occasional partner for Neph. But I am still thinking on it. The rest are all 100% intended to be rehomed.

Anyway. This is turning into a huge ramble. But I wanted to let you all know first before I officially begin selling my snakes openly. As always, you all get first word before anyone else. Hit me up if you have any interest or questions. And Thank you all SO much for supporting me in this hobby for so long. I am very sorry if you were hoping to hear about new clutches from me, as I know many of you have inquired about them. I wanted to see if my girls would lay any final clutches, but I'm thinking they aren't planning to by this point. I am happy to direct any towards other breeders I know who might be able to help.
Thank you all again!

Hey you guys!
Still lingering here on facebook. I am thinking that, at least for now, I'll be keeping the page active until I get more used to Instagram. But the Instagram account has been created, so feel free to give me a follow at on Instagram if you so wish. :)

In other news, I am reluctantly parting with my beautiful 2017 Male Lesser Bee (the one in my Display pic) as I am downsizing a couple extra snakes from the collection. Here are a few pictures! You are the first place to be notified before I open him for sale anywhere else. So if you are interested or have any questions, please feel free to message me. Below are some pictures of the little goober.

I also have a free adult normal female to any good home with previous ball python experience. You can message me for more info if interested.

Heyo, all!

Been a quiet time over here. I hope everyone gas been doing well :)

A few updates for you all.

First: Sadly it seems perhaps the ladies over here at SWS have decided not to lay their clutches this year. Apologies to anyone who may have been waiting to hear about babies. The ladies always get the final say in if they wish to lay a clutch and there' no arguing with them. Hopefully with the girls taking a year off, we'll have some extra luck for next season. :) Pairings for the new season will be starting in a few weeks.

Second: Though there are no babies to sell this year, I am parting with 3 adults from my home. 1 of these snakes was recently claimed, but I also have a 2017 Lesser Bee proven breeder male and a pet only normal female (age unknown).
The Lesser Bee male is a beautiful boy with a good temperament, but a bit timid. Shows some wobble when excited, such as when he gets fed. Usually has an amazing appetite. $150
The female normal is a foster I've been caring for. Also a bit timid, but has not shown any aggression in my care. She went through some stressful ownership before being rescued. Evidence of this is on her face and mouth. At first I believed it to be injuries from live feedings, but after duscussing with other keepers, I now believe that her divets and scarring on her face were due to "Rubbing" which is set off by improper husbandry. She has rubbed deep divets into the sides of her mouth and some scarring is also on the top of her head. She is free to a good home with ball python experience. PET ONLY.
You can contact me if you wish to speak further about either of them. :)

Third: Lastly, I am most likely going to be transferring this business to another platform (possibly Instagram) in the near future. I plan on leaving facebook for personal reasons, but fully intend to continue providing a space for those who wish to keep updated on breeding here at SWS. Please stay tuned in the coming days for more info.

Sorry I don't have better (snake baby related) news to share with you all, but I hope this update helps clear up any questions you might have had in all the silence. Fingers crossed for a fruitful season next year!
Thank you all for being awesome supporters! Have yourself a wonderful remainder of your Thanksgiving!

Hey folks!
While we wait on those clutches, we have a second foster to go to a new home. One more meal and she's good to go.
Normal ball python Free to a good home with previous ball python experience. Assumed to be female, but no guarentee.
Last weigh in was 2400g. Feeding on frozen/thawed/prekilled small-medium rats bi-weekly. They seem to prefer smaller sized rats. Please do not switch to live rats. The snake has some physical scarring on the face and mouth which I assume is from live feedings and I don't want them to go through that again.
Temperament is a bit skittish and timid, but no aggression when handling.

Feel free to contact me if you'd like to throw your hat in. I'll allow a few days for people to contact me before i choose who seems the best fit.

Thank you guys!

Edit: She has been rehomed! Thanks to everyone who offered. We will have another foster available sometime in the future...

Edit: She has been rehomed! Thanks to everyone who offered. We will have another foster available sometime in the future. :)

Hey folks!
We've had a couple fosters here for a while. One still needs some work, but this one is ready after one more meal.

Normal ball python. Was told she is female, but not guaranteed. Curious and Calm temperament. Weighs 2600 grams. Not certain of age, but at least a few years old judging by their size.

Free to a good home. Please only people with previous ball python care/experience to lessen the chance they will be rehomed again. Eating small/medium frozen/thawed/prekilled rats. Please No cohabbing with another ball python.

Will not be first come first serve. I will see who among those that offer to take her are best suited for her, please do not take it personally if you are not picked. I just want to do my part to ensure she goes to a good forever (hopefully) home.

Can deliver her in the fredericton area if needed, but if coming from farther away, you will have to pick her up.
Message me if you would like to take her or have any questions. I will allow at least a few days to let people throw their hat in.

(Sorry for the bosom shot. Was the only good picture of her face 😆)

Well. Someone is looking pretty uncomfortable. Poor Neph. Can't be much longer now ;)

Hey you snek enthusiasts! I know I've been quiet here with everything going on, but I just wanted to make a quick update so everyone is aware things are still going here. :)

Pretty sure that Ptah, my pastel het Pied girl (pic 1) is going to give some goodies down the line. I'll have to palpate her soon to get a better idea, but she has been getting huge and exhibiting some token gravid behavior like the spiral laying. Fingers crossed! She has yet to give me a clutch, bit maybe this year is the year!

Nephthis (pic 2), my big cinnamon girl is 100% on her way to giving me a clutch. I know how she acts when she is getting close to laying, and she is exhibiting all the normal signs. She is absolutely huge (she honestly might need to go on a diet down the line. Lol), she is always curled up in a spiral and "burrowing" under her tub liner, something she only really ever does when she is with eggies. I think she might pop soon, but we shall see.
I might have missed the pre lay shed, as i've been more distracted of late due to the pandemic, but i know she is getting close!

Cleo, My spider girl and Wadjet, my mojave girl are looking like they are not going to take this year, which is expected since cleo always takes a year off between clutches and wadjet is still at a pretty petite size for her age. But we will see about next year.

I'll edit this post later if i palpate soon. Until then, though, stay safe, wash your hands and I'll see you during baby season ;)

Hello all you serpent lovers! I know we're all in rather hectic times, to say the least. There are a lot of things people are stressing over, and I imagine making sure your animals being fed is one of them for a lot of us.
But I just wanted to take a moment to remind you all that your snakes will be okay if you can't get food for a while from your normal stores. Their metabolism is quite slow and can go months without a meal. So please don't add feeding your snake to your list of stresses right now. Your babies will be okay. Just keep caring for them as normal and they'll be fine. Of course if anyone has any questions, you are all free to ask via comment or PM. :) I am always here to offer any help I can.

Everyone please wash your hands, practice social distancing and stay healthy

Last baby is sold and off to their new home! We are officially out of babies! You guys have been wonderful folks! I look forward to next year and what possibilities we will have.

My two main focuses for next year will be like this year; Pieds and Blue Eyes Leucistics. Let's hope next year is more fruitful in that regard since neither of those girls laid this year. Lol. But off to a good start with my pied and BEL pairs locking up ;)

Here's to an even better year next year!

And the last two are out. A normal and a Cinna bee. Meaning the other bees from this clutch are Cinnamon Lesser Bees. Seeing the two side by side made it much easier to know which were which. :)

This clutch started with 7 eggs, but sadly one baby died in the egg shortly before the others started pipping. But i am happy the other 6 seem to be healthy and beautiful.

Final count
1 normal
1 lesser
1 cinnamon
1 cinna bee
2 Cinnamon Lesser Bees

RIP little Spider baby

Clutch 2 is off to a great start. Looks like we got a cinnamon and what I believe is a cinnabee! I've waited a long time to hatch a cinnabee, one of the first morphs i wanted to hatch when i got into ball python keeping. Better late than never :)

More good stuff to come from this batch ;)

Edit: cinna bee might also possibly a cinnamon lesser bee, i'll have to double check.

Available babies are up for sale! You can find them in my Photo album labeled 'Balls for Sale'

No babies are leaving here yet, though. They must have at least 3 successful meals before being rehomed.
I cannot hold a noodle for you without a deposit, so if you are interested in one, come have a chat with me and we can figure out deposits. :)

If you are new to ball pythons, I highly reccomend doing lots of research if you haven't already. And feel free to contact me if you have any questions or want second opinions. I'll do my best to help with any concerns you might have.

Almost all babies have had their first shed. Only a couple more and I can do a proper photoshoot with them all and get their prices put up. :)

In the meantime, I took fresh shed pics of my holdback Queen Bee. Since they are male, i'm hoping i can use them for breeding as early as next winter (this winter would be too early). He's a beaut. Just love what the spider gene can produce

And number 8, the last of the clutch is out! And it's a lesser. :)

Pretty happy with the turn out of this clutch. 1 normal, 2 spiders, 2 lessers, 1 pastel lesser, 1 pastel and 1 Queen bee(pastel/lesser/spider)

Enjoy this family pic of the babies after their warm wash. They were sexed right after and are now in their own respective bins in a hatchling rack. Whoo!

Since i'm getting asked about deposits already, I'll start figuring out prices so people can make deposits to hold any baby they are looking for.

Thanks so much!

Stay tuned for more updates! We still got a second clutch hatching in a couple weeks and also proper pics of each baby after they have had their first shed. :)

Just an update on anyone hoping for pied babies. My female hasn't laid and she just took her first meal in months, so sadly, it looks like there won't be a pied clutch this year. It's disappointing, but the lady always has the last say on if she wants to lay a clutch.
Sorry for anyone hoping for pied babies this year. But fingers crossed for next year. :)

Still very much looking forward to all the bees to come this year, though. One clutch should be hatching any day now and i bet there will be some lovely bees coming with it.

Did some candling today. :) first video is the 3 week old clutch. I only saved the best one from that since most eggs weren't stirring much.
Second video is the over 4 week old clutch. Patterns will soon be visible through candling and more space is being filled up in the egg. Most of them were lazy and didn't wiggle much for me, but if you watch the shadows closely, you can usually see some movement.

7 hefty, beautiful eggs! I palpated 6 back in April, seems i have been one off both times this year. But i don't mind being wrong when i get more than expected ;)
All candled fertile and are nestled into the incubator beside Cleo's clutch from a few weeks ago. Neph is back in a freshly cleaned tub and will be getting a big meal on Tuesday.

Pairing was Cinnamon x Lesser Bee

Proper photo upload now that we are finished.
Cleo never even struck, just a few hisses and nudging me away when i touched her. She's a good girl.
I palpated 6-7 follicles back in April, i guess I missed one, because she gave me 8 big beautiful eggs! Never gotten a clutch bigger than 4 from her before, so it was a very wonderful surprise to see so many!

All seem very fertile and are now staying warm in the incubator. Cleo is in a nice clean tub resting up and will have her first meal in months very soon. Now that she's done her egg work, i bet her appetite will be coming back with a vengeance soon. :)

Pairing was Spider x Pastel Lesser. Let' hope for some lovely bees!
