Sadly yesterday was the last day Best Friends was open for grooming at the location we’ve called home since early 1997. I spent a few hours packing up our grooming equipment today , and hopefully the rest of it, boarding kennel stuff will be dismantled and most of it donated, in the next couple of weeks. Our lease was not renewed as the property owner seeks to expand their own business. The search for a new location in the south end has been challenging to say the least, but I’m working on it. I’ve been grooming on my own most of the last month( 3 of the last 4 weeks) which has left me little time but I have an agent working on my behalf as the search continues and I hope there’s a spot out there that will fit what BFPC needs , maybe for a February opening. If a location is secured, it’ll be posted here and on the voicemail greeting of our phone line. Thanks all for supporting this small business for 25 years and I hope to find a spot where you can rejoin us ASAP. Stay tuned, and again, thanks for your continued support most recently in pandemic times which we know have not been easy for most of us, especially those of us who have very small labour intensive businesses.
