We thought you guys might enjoy getting a behind-the-scenes look at how the PUKC gerbils, Ruby (yellow) and Scrim (black), have been enjoying their “vacation” from helping the dogs with barn hunt training the last few months 🐹⛱️

They have been having a blast in their new enclosure with plenty of enrichment items, deep bedding for digging, and fresh veggies to snack on. From creating intricate tunnels to completely “re-arranging” their set up, these two have been thriving! Animal welfare is always our top priority, and it’s been so rewarding to see Ruby and Scrim so happy and healthy…but they are getting a little stir-crazy now and are eager to get back to work! 🐾

For our March 1-2, 2025 show in Lloydminster AB, we are excited to offer Apprenticeship opportunities for our 4 Conformation shows & Rally Obedience trials - all judged by Senior UKC Judges, most of whom are travelling from the USA ✈️🇱🇷
This is a unique chance to gain hands-on experience and mentorship from some of the best in the field!

We have been approved for 4 UKC Conformation Shows, 4 Rally Obedience Trials and SPOT Evaluations!

Judges and Venue are BOOKED! 🇨🇦 🇺🇲

We will be limiting our Conformation Shows to only 100 dogs and Rally Obedience Trials to only 50 dogs. Be sure to get your dogs UKC registered, watch the page for the premium list and act fast when entries open! 💨

UKC Registration is $39 USD per dog and typically Registration takes 3-5 days but may take up to 3 weeks.

Are you ready for a fun-filled and prize-filled Thursday? Because we are ready for you!

A few things to note about the Conformation Match tomorrow:

PRE-ENTRIES
If you haven't already, please make sure to eTransfer [email protected] with your entry fees.

DAY OF ENTRIES
Day of entries will be accepted on site beginning at 6:00pm and we will make every reasonable effort to accommodate as needed. In addition to regular classes, we are offering Novice Puppy (3-5mo) & Veteran (7yo+).
Help us out by filling this out if you plan on attending! https://form.jotform.com/231505999674269 This helps us pre-fill your form, making your check-in faster and allowing us to prepare the judge's books and schedule more efficiently.

PAYMENT
We will have merchandise and 50/50 tickets available for purchase. eTransfer is accepted, but cash is preferred. Entry fees are $15 for each class/dog entered. 50/50 will be drawn after Best in Match!

CHECK IN
Please come to the check in table located at "Tooth Suite Ring 1" once you arrive to get your armband and finish up paperwork.

BENCHING
There will be limited benching spots available for Thursday evening for those that would like to bring a kennel into the building for their dog(s) entered in the match. Please make sure to clean up your benching space after you leave!

EQUIPMENT
Collar and a regular leash around and near the rings (no flexi). Some show collars and leads will be available for those who need them for the match.
Space will be tight. Please keep all dogs on leash or in a secured space like a kennel when not competing.
Please bring p**p bags! Cleaning up after your dogs is important, so dispose of sealed bags in the provided garbage bins. We want to hold more events here. If you need them, we will have p**p bags and cleaning supplies at the Entry table.

SPECTATORS
Spectators are welcome! There will be limited chairs around the ring for people to watch. Please make sure that spectators of all ages practice appropriate dog-skills (ask to pet, be mindful of dogs in the ring, give space if needed, etc).

JUDGING SCHEDULE
Both the judging schedule and the premium list are attached. All times are approximate as there may be same-day entries. No group will start before the scheduled time.
There will be a white board with the running order located at the Tooth Suite Ring 1 that will be updated as needed.

There will be set up going on for the CKC event happening this weekend, so parking may be tight. Arrive with plenty of time before your ring time starts.
