New guidelines for travelling to the US with your pet!

Updates to CDC’s August 1 dog importation rule: If you are bringing a dog into the US from a dog rabies-free or low-risk country, you now only need to fill out the simple CDC Dog Import Form. Other forms are no longer needed. The requirements for dogs arriving from high-risk countries have not changed, and these dogs are still required to have additional documents. Read the full requirements: www.cdc.gov/dogtravel

Potter is so near and dear to our hearts. Dr. Erin and technician Ashley were part of the spay/neuter clinic on the island where he is from. Please donate or share!! 💕🐈‍⬛

“𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙘𝙪𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙘𝙖𝙩 𝙬𝙤𝙣’𝙩 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙡𝙙 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙘𝙖𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙞𝙧 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙡𝙙 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙗𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙙.”

Potter's story is a real-life rags to riches tale.

Our volunteers were assisting with a high volume spay and neuter clinic in a community with many feral and stray cats. Potter was an older intact male surviving amongst the waste in a landfill. His white fur was yellow and brown with dirt, he was scarred, scabby, defeated, and our hearts hurt for what he'd been through. While anesthetized for his neuter surgery, it was determined that Potter was in no condition to continue life outdoors and humane euthanasia needed to be considered.

We didn't know what the future held for Potter nor if we were making the right call, but we decided we would bring him back with us to get the care he needed. This suspected feral surprised us by being a total sweetheart, and he's been stealing hearts ever since.

Potter is living the safe, happy and comfortable life he likely dreamed of in his foster home.

Unfortunately, Potter's journey from pauper to prince has been an especially expensive one and he has yet another large upcoming expense. Potter has had several health challenges requiring extensive and repeat diagnostics, treatments and follow up monitoring in the 20 months that he has been in our care – ear infections, dermatitis, suspect food sensitivities, early kidney disease, bloodwork/urinalysis, various medications, two ultrasounds, a comprehensive dental with several extractions and a repeat dental is now required for him.

Potter’s medical expenses to date are up over $4000 and the expense of a repeat dental yet to come.

We are looking for some help to cover Potter’s extraordinary medical expenses.

No donation amount is too small. We appreciate any and all donations towards Potter’s medical expenses.
