Hello everyone!

This is very long over due post…

But seeing as we have officially started our 2024 year I feel I should make one last post.

I have relocated my animals (ofcourse) and am still grooming just no longer in Ottawa. I am working with a fabulous new team that shares the same values and love for animals as I always have had, reminding me much of Erica for those that knew her. I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a relaxing time spent with family and loved ones. I trust that you all have found the right grooming fit for your beloved pets and I wanted to say thank you again for your trust and patience with me on my business adventure back home.

Dear all,

It is with great regret that I must inform you of the imminent closure of my grooming establishment situated in the centre of Kinburn, effective from the 30th of November, 2023.

I would like to take this opportunity to mention a few grooming salons that I genuinely admire, and I can guarantee that they will treat your beloved dogs with the utmost care and consideration. I would also like to express my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you for the unwavering support you have shown me throughout the past three years in Kinburn, and to my clients who have faithfully followed me from Kanata for the years prior.

Throughout my time in this industry, I have developed a deep affection for every dog that I have had the pleasure of grooming, treating them as though they were my own. If you would like to continue accompanying me on my future endeavours, please feel free to keep following my page.

PSA:

This weekend I will be away at the first ever grooming show in Ottawa! Some of the top groomers in the world will be there presenting. And I will be attending seminars and competing in the Poodle class on Saturday 🐩

Feel free to come check it out at the EY centre, you can drop in and take a look through the vendors and watch groomers in action.

Super excited to go and a huge thank you to Alex and Kayla’s hard work going into this.

**ANNOUNCEMENT**
A Celebration of Life for Erica McKelvey will be hosted on Saturday October 28 at 11:00am. The celebration will be held at Ferghus & Company (3765 Loggers Way, Unit 107, Kinburn, ON) and followed by a fundraiser BBQ for Ottawa Dog Rescue.
Fergus & Co. is still closed at this time (no classes or shop hours) but there is no better place to celebrate the amazing Erica.

Words cannot describe this heartbreak.

She fought such a hard battle and never let it ruin her contagious smile. The world will be a darker place without Erica McKelvey in it.

Ferghus and Company is heartbroken to announce the loss of Erica McKelvey today after a valiant battle with cancer. For 12 years, Erica shared her heart and vision with the F&C community and revolutionized the way we communicate with our dogs. Erica was our boss, light, cheerleader, coach, mentor, trainer, teacher and dearest friend. She was beyond generous, kind, warm and inspiring to watch.
To allow everyone the time needed to grieve, Ferghus and Company will close this week, effective today until Monday August 21.
All our sympathies go to Erica's family, particularly her daughters during these difficult days.

Most of you know my little sidekick Scrappy! She is always by my side and learnt a new trick from one of the amazing trainers here at Ferghus and Company. She works part time at the school helping puppies get socialized properly while I am grooming. 🐾
