Big thank you to Lexi for bringing your pack on a walk today. A few of these dogs have been labelled "not good with other dogs" at one point or another but with calm leadership and clear boundaries, everyone was able to enjoy a beauty of a day. Keep up the great work Lexi!

Hi Guys!

I had the opportunity to work with a bull terrier named Thor today. He did not have a great back story. A lot of which included abuse, neglect and plenty of anger. As you can probably imagine, he lacked the ability to trust and was loaded with insecurities (and who can blame him). So with a lot of patience and with the help of my dream team (Gus and Otie) we were able to break him of his distrustful ways and, even more importantly, allowed him to finally be a dog. By the end of his short session, not only was he no longer looking to hide from things that used to scare him, he was in fact becoming more curious about those things. The highlight of the day was when he actually became so trusting, that he voluntarily sniffed Gus. It may not sound like much, but for this guy, it's eons of progress. Here is the happy boy with his 2 new pals (Thor is in front, Gus is to his side and Otie is in the background clearly having worked enough for the day). Thank you Nicki for letting me work with your happy boy and also for giving me the opportunity to show you how great you always knew he was!

Hi All!

Wishing everyone a happy puppy day! Let me tell you about my boy Otie. Many of you know (AND LOVE) Odestrom but not many know of his origins. A few years ago I found this little guy hunched over in a kennel at the humane society. His name was Eeyore and his nervousness was through the roof. I wasn't keen on nervous dogs(they can be a lot of work) but I was astonished by his way with dogs! He could tame the wildest beast! His subtle movements and posture taught me more than any book could. Throughout the years, I have slowly and patiently earned his trust and respect. Now, most of my clients will hear me use these words quite frequently. The reason for this is when we have insecure dogs, they literally feel the need to be on guard all of the time and it is not pleasant for them or the owner. If we are lucky, and an insecure dog places their trust in us, it is monumental and quite literally life changing. Otie is my motivation for doing what I do, he is my coworker (still not sure if he works with me or I work with him) and he is my sidekick . He has been so brave over the last few years, following me all over North America. I figure the least I can do is repay him by bringing him as much joy as possible. New situations every day, new friends to make, and butts to sniff. I am so grateful to have Otie in my life. It will never cease to amaze me how much he has helped me and, most importantly, the amazing effect he has had on the community. Love you Ode...hopefully one day I could be half the man you are. Here's my man after a busy day of being awesome! Keep up the great work Ode.

Hi All!

Meet Bandit! This guy had some pretty bad anxiety. He was afraid of some stairs in the house, the basement floor and the dreaded laundry room. I say 'had' because his owner, Kristine Dalhmann, graciously put her faith in me and my method. The result of which is now a dog that is willing to put his faith in his owner to guide him through any fearful situation. She can now bring him wherever she wants knowing that she has his full trust in her leadership. Kristine understands completely that it is not an overnight fix, but with a calm and directed approach she will build a strong relationship with her dog built on mutual trust and, most of all, respect.

Thank you Kristine for trusting me, and I am certain Bandit thanks you for leading him one step closer to a more fruitful, fearless life. I look forward to your progress. Keep up the great work!
