Definitely worth taking the time to read! It’s amazing how long nails affect the dog’s ability to move safely & without pain. I’ve seen too many dogs with sore shoulders that are excaberated by long nails!

This is what I call “kitchen training”. This might have taken me 3 minutes! Breaks the puppies day up into interesting pieces, certainly makes me a valuable resource! Then I continue on making dinner while puppy naps or chews on a stuffed, frozen bone or kong! Goal was to have him stay, then pick up what I send him for no matter he was getting barked at from that closed door. Such a brave puppy!

Dogs trained using games and positive reinforcement still, even in their senior years love to play! Studies have found even excellent workers trained with forceful, pain based methods tend to quit, or work lacklustrly after their 7 or 8th year! Baxterversion in his 14th year still loves to get out and play our games
