A 2 part notification
First please for the love of God record your appointments in your phone calendar with an advance reminder set to let you know of your appointment(s) this is easily achieved and will be readily available when you are making other plans or appointments so you know to avoid conflict with your pets groom.
I do my best to remind you the day before (on Friday if Monday appt ), but it's your responsibility to remember it.
I'm currently booked SOLID now till mid Sept it will not be easy to reschedule your pups appointment should you need to due to conflict or personal priority reasons. I will only be able to if another client swaps with you. This summer is set to be hot, please make your pet a priority.
Secondly, please review my policies that are sent with your reminder. I WILL BE IMPLEMENTING these no exceptions other than an emergency. If you are late the fee will be charged.
Pick-up is expected as promptly as possible after notification is sent that your pup is ready. Exceptions will be considered ONLY if spoken about prior to the appointment. I don't want to implement a late charge but will if the tardiness continues.
I fully understand if you read my policies and do not agree with them and suggest then that another salon provide services you require. They may or may not have similar policies and might better suit your needs.
