An old picture of Asher on his very first visit. He was not camera shy, although if we are being honest, we were bribing him (just a little) with treats 🐈‍⬛ 🐾
We know we post lots of doggo pictures and not enough kitty pics. The doggos just move much less. Kitty stealth and camera dodging is something we are yet to match!

Meet Clementine and Laddu, they’re real super sisters! 🐶 🌸
We are told by their hoomans that 7 month old Laddu likes to get into trouble. Clementine does not join her baby sister in the mischief but she doesn’t try to stop her either (perhaps she remembers the good old days of being a rambunctious puppy!)

Little Lou Lou was in the clinic for some subcutaneous fluids today. Look at that natural built in winter coat she has on her! Seems like just when we packed our winter coats and boots away the weather decided to laugh in our faces. Lou Lou is ready for winter making a reappearance any day though with that luxurious coat of hers ! 🐈

Yes, those are little ticks you see in the picture. Happy 1st day of Spring everyone! 🌸🌼🌿
While we may be experiencing a bit of a cold dip in temperature it has been warm enough out for ticks and fleas so make sure your pets are protected against ticks and fleas!
Give us a call at the clinic to order some tick and flea meds for your pets. We are also taking orders for heart worm meds (even though heart worm season isn’t until June). Find out if your pet needs to do any bloodwork before ordering heart worm medication. We test the blood for heart worm antigens every other year, unless you forgot to give a dose last year.

Kuzya was in for a routine dental and extractions today. He was a little scared but he knew he was in safe hands! 🦷 🐕

Melvin was in the clinic for his final round of booster shots this week. Now that he’s protected from any disease he could’ve caught, Melvin is free to mix and mingle! 🦠 🐶 🐕

It's the festive season! 🎄Which means festivities all round! And while the holidays can be great fun for us humans, it can sometimes be a not-so-fun trip to the emergency room for our pets if we don't keep an eye on them. This holiday season keep your dogs and cats away from:

Fatty foods
Chocolate (dark chocolate especially)
Grapes and raisins
Sugar free candies
Onions and garlic
Meat and bones
Holly and Mistletoe
Tinsel, string and ribbons

If any of the above items are accidentally ingested here is what you should do. Start by calling us or poison control. If you act quick enough (within 10-15 mins) you can bring your pet in for induced vomiting. If it has been longer than that or you are far from the clinic you will need to rush to your nearest emergency hospital. Ingestion of toxic foods or foreign objects can be lethal to our furry friends. We hope we won't be seeing anybody over this festive season for these kinds of emergency calls! Stay safe and enjoy the season! 🎉
