Yum! Dwarf namwah.

This may surprise some of you but this banana taste exactly like banana! Lol... it's market as one of the best, with a rich and chewy flesh. While it may be slightly more chewy, I just don't taste a difference between this and a Cavendish off the shelf, but these are a third of the size and a smaller harvest.... I've been instructed to allow to go almost all black before eating, this apparently will bring out a rich vanilla flavor...? Will give it a go but not really expecting much more then an overripe banana flavor

Well I feel this is the most shocking achievement of my fruit growing career so far!
Being my slowest growing trees, this is Improved Garcinia Brasiliensis or improved lemon drop mangosteen. I grafted it a little over 3 years ago and it's barely a foot tall. It's flowering! In Canada!!!!
Now I unfortunately noticed the bud after I completely barerooted it and reduced root ball by about 30% 🫤 so probably will drop this flower, but still! What a crazy thing to see!

Escarlet Jaboticaba next up to flower! This one produced buds at the end of branches instead of on the trunks! I assume the trunk flowers will come soon

Well, this is quite the shocking development! Plinia Nana(smaller plant in first 3 photos) is flowering at just under 1 year old from seed 😱
Also, it looks like maybe my "Grimal" jaboticaba is going to flower!! Yay

Dont want to wait years for fruit, well heres a fruiting red hybrid Jaboticaba(plinia aureana×cauliflora). Has a couple small fruitless and more flowers coming. By next year you could be eating fruit all year!(provided you give it tropical conditions year round)

So hard to share these when the tree is still only producing 3 or 4 at a time but so many at different stages of development on the trees! Someone asked for dissection photos so sharing here as well.

Thailand pre-order update!! The trees that did not make it last month are being reshipped at the end of this month so that cold stress is less likely. We do apologize for the delay and hope to have the remaining orders filled early June!
That being said, we have the new list of plants being offered and will launch a pre-order on the website soon!
