We welcome dogs, and cats, for grooming, and boarding, as well as daycare services for dogs of all ages! Our Philosophy on Grooming:
We pride ourselves on being perfectionists, therefor we may not have a dog completed as quickly as other shops can. We take our time with all dogs to ensure as positive a grooming experience as possible. With puppies, dogs new to grooming, old dogs and nervous dogs,

we may not be able to complete a groom or not do it exactly the way the owner wants. This is because we believe that the less stressful the experience, the better for the dog. Many dogs will require grooming their whole lives, so whether they are groomed here at Nirvana, or somewhere else, the better the experience, the happier the dog will be at the groomers. Our Philosophy on Daycare:
We do not discriminate against breed. We judge each dog on their temperament and ability to learn proper dog etiquette. We do not believe in ‘time outs’. We believe that a tired dog is a happy dog. The dogs in our care get along with each other and are active all day. This is because of proper supervision and control by our dedicated staff. We feel that dog owners who entrust us with their pets, want them to be well cared for, exercised, and mentally stimulated in a safe environment.

Hello Everyone!
Thank you to you all for your kind words and well wishes! They mean so much.
I just wanted to let you all know that I have had to amend the date in which daycare will close.
The official last day of daycare will be on Monday, January 29th , not Tuesday January 30th. Grooming will not be affected.
I have so many things to complete, I need an extra day to do so. Again I apologize to whom
Ever this inconveniences.
This has been one of the hardest decisions of my life but also one of the best experiences of my life.

Hello to all of our amazing customers, both past and present.
It pains me to have to write this post and make it a hard reality.
2023 was an incredibly difficult year to navigate.
As the world and our Country becomes more expensive, so do the costs of running a small business.
Last year, we lost valuable employees because Victoria has become an extremely expensive place to live.
We also lost many customers for the same reason.
Last year, unfortunately, we saw a number of our friends cross the rainbow bridge as well.
For all of these reasons, we have seen a steady decline in clientele.
It was a very difficult year.
I worked 2023 solo in the daycare. I tried to do my best to keep everyone safe, happy and clean.
Working over 70 hours a week catches up to you after a while.
I apologize to anyone who thought I may have been rude to them, quiet, or not my regular self.
The truth is, I haven’t been myself.
I’ve been stressed out and tired. I have worked extremely hard to try to keep Nirvana Pet Resort running. I’ve sacrificed many days off, fun activities with my family, and even wages, to try and make this business continue on.
The sad reality is that I cannot combat inflation. I cannot combat the tri-annual rent increases I have been receiving since 2020.
I have tried my best to make Nirvana Pet Resort survive.
Unfortunately, as of January 30, 2024, at 6:00 pm, Nirvana Pet Resort will be closing its doors permanently.
We appreciate every single person and animal that has come to visit us or use our services in one capacity or another over the 14+ years we have been in business.
I apologize to each and every one of you that this will inconvenience.
We will let you all know of where our groomers continue on, so you can continue to use their service.
I will deeply miss being able to hang out all day with your awesome dogs.
This has been an experience I will never forget.
Thank you to you all, from the bottom of my heart, for all of your support over the years. We couldn’t have done this without you!

Hello folks and welcome to 2024!

I just wanted to take a few minutes to say a few things to you all.
2023 is over and I know personally, I’m very happy to see it go.
2023 was a tough year for many people and businesses alike.
Nirvana Pet Resort was no exception.
In 2023, we saw many dogs move away from Victoria. Some Dogs crossed the 🌈 bridge. Some dogs weren’t able to come and play because their allowances were cut, and understandably so.
This being said, I need to build back the pack. We need more pups to play and have fun with!
If you, or anyone you know of is wanting to socialize their dog, need boarding, or just a quiet afternoon, Nirvana Pet Resort can help.
We have open availability for new customers and clients.
We thank you all for your continued patronage and support.
We look forward to meeting some new pack members!!

**Announcement**

Hello Everyone!

I just wanted to let you all know that B.C. Hydro scheduled a 3 hour power outage for tomorrow, Friday January 05. It is from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm. We will be open regular hours. We will go dark for a few hours but we can still have fun! 🙂

P.s. Walk in grooming services will be open from
11:00 am to 12:30 pm tomorrow.
We won’t be able to process payments after 12:30 pm. We apologize for any inconvenience.

ANNOUNCEMENT

We just wanted to let everyone know that Mike will be away from Wednesday, January 10 to Monday, January 15. This means that Daycare and Boarding will be closed those days. All grooming services will remain open and operating. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Mike needs to take a few days off to recharge.
We will resume regular hours on Tuesday January 16.

To all of the no show clientele for grooming:
This will not be tolerated. You will be charged a no show fee. This is highly disapointing, especially this close to Christmas.
It is so disrespectful to not call and cancel.
I’m very disappointed and frustrated, as are the groomers.
Please respect the business and the employees!
If you cannot make your appointment, please give us 24 hours notice!

Hello Everyone!! Happy Monday to you all!
I hope you all had a fantastic weekend!

Hello everyone!! I hope your Monday went swell!!! It is Tuesday and I’d like to announce this weeks “Dog of the Week” winner. Our “Dog of the Week” is brought to you in part as always by our pawesome friends at Bosley's on Yates. Go say hello and tell them We sent you! 🙂 Today we say congratulations to Ryuk the French Bulldog. Ryuk has only been coming to Nirvana for a short while but absolutely loves it!! Ryuk is excited the moment he enters the building. He loves to get right down to brass tax. Ryuk loves to wrestle and chase. Ryuk loves bigger dogs. He enjoys playing with the toys and making the bigger dogs play tug with him. Ryuk is a sweet little guy. He loves to get pets and hand out kisses. Ryuk has been a great addition to our ever growing pack and family! He brings lots of life and energy to the daycare! Congratulations Ryuk!!
