Just a reminder that there are rules for the park, to help keep everyone safe. The current rules are as follows:
Dog owners must be present and within view of their dogs at all times.
Aggressive dogs are not allowed in off-leash areas.
Dogs must be under voice control while off-leash.
Dog owners must have a leash in hand at all times.
Female dogs in heat are not allowed in off-leash areas.
Holes dug by dogs must be filled by the dog owner.
All f***s must be picked up by the dog owner and removed or deposited in waste receptacles.
All dogs must be licensed in accordance with the City of Winnipeg Responsible Pet Ownership By-law 92/2013. Please call 311 for more information.
All sites are open 7:00am to 11:00pm or as posted at the site.

Caution: There was a coyote at the park at 10:00pm tonight. It ran right through the park and in front of a dog. The dog ran after the coyote into the bushes but the dog was unharmed.

Getting dark early and snow on the ground means that 💩 gets lost and left behind. Keep an eye out for anything that needs to be picked up, bag it and help keep our park clean. 🚮 Reminder to make sure you have plenty of bags in hand and to use as many as possible!! 💩🥰

💔😔 Last weekend we lost a fellow park user and Board Member, Dennis Huntrods. Many of you knew Dennis and his dogs, Pearl, Juno, Woodstock, and Parker as constant visitors to the park. Dennis tirelessly promoted advocating for our park, and spent many hours voluntarily helping maintain it as a safe place for all of us. He worked as a liason with the City Parks dept, was always on call to patch up missing fence boards, blocked the under fence escape routes, cleaned up extra garbage, hauled water and cleaned the dishes. His passing was unexpected and he will missed by many, His family has started a Go Fund Me to raise money for a memorial bench to be installed at the park, please feel free to donate. My dog, Goose, was bitten today (Dec. 2nd) at the park, shortly before noon. several witnesses and the owner of the dog is aware it happened. I would like to get intouch with the owner and/or the witnesses, in case he is not on FB. Goose is at the vet and apparently there are deep puncture wounds. Would you please post the following message:

Good reminder to secure your poppies!

Just a reminder that it is Poppy Season and those Poppies have sharp pins. Some pups will pick up anything in their mouths so please secure your Poppy and be sure to pick up any you see on the ground.
Also please remember that proceeds from Poppy sales go to the War Amps Foundation a great chartity.
