What a crazy few weeks, life took over slightly so FB updates became none existent!!

Just back from an amazing time @ Blair, with West Lodge McNair taking the win and reserve champion, as well as standing 3rd in the novice final after just 7 weeks under saddle, we really couldn’t have asked any more from this young stallion🥹

We also loved cheering on Blue of Rogie and his mum Julie as they rode their socks off round the novice also!! Rogie has been here for a bit of Blair bootcamp & it was lovely to see all the hard work coming together in the ring.. lots to come from this young partnership💛

We said goodbye to Bayley & Tina as they headed off to their new homes, I really couldn’t have found more perfect families for them and love seeing all the updates!!

We also had a few short term schooling liveries which have graduated with flying colours, so we are ready to welcome this week some new faces😄

Another very busy week has flown by, the new arrivals have settled great and knuckled down into their work.

Comalegy Private Dancer had her first outing & took home a couple reds 🥇🥇

Tina (3yo c filly) & Bayley (4yo Connie mare) will be looking for new humans, keep an eye out for their ads👀🏡

Another new arrival today (Nova) after waving off home Bandit & Melody, wishing their owners all the best of fun with their amazing horses x

Very busy week last week, finally getting a moment to sit and catch up before starting all over again🫣

West Lodge McNair made his first outing of the year a winning one, winning the Highland Championship & taking supreme native @ Echt Show, super excited to get him out under saddle🏆

2 new arrivals, Doodlebug & Bandit, have settled in fantastic overnight and currently enjoying some down time in the field this morning before boot camp begins🙌🏼

Keep your eyes peeled also for Tina the gorgeous 3yo filly being advertised🧡

Plenty work going on here at Cottown the past couple days, stable repairs, painting, weeding & getting the arena & round pen back into shape 💪🏼

Evening lessons have also begun again, hopefully I’ll be out and about at least one day a week in local areas so if you want added to my list drop me a message.

Fabulous time supporting friends & past Cottown graduates @ the RHS last week. You all made me so proud🥹

We have officially started filling up the stables, our first very handsome pony arrived last night and excited to welcome the rest near the end of the week🦄

Well it has been a minute hasn’t it??

Been over 2 years since this page saw an update so I’ll make it short (as short as one can with a couple years worth of catching up to do!)

2022 saw us have a continued run of success all through the season, with a yard of novices as well as our more experienced opens they kept us very busy, along with the support of our clients, jockeys & grooms I could not have been prouder of what we accomplished. Far too many amazing results to post so I’ve included many photos bellow🥇🏆

At the end of 2022 I made the very difficult decision to move away to work on another yard to gain some more experience, I found myself with the very talented Vicky Smith. 2023 made for the most surreal year where I got the opportunity to work with some fantastic horses and meet some lifelong friends, the whole of team smith had a phenomenal year with the highlight for me was watching 3yo Tremarl Timber take the Price Family supreme at HOYS.

I’ve been on my travels since January and currently having the greatest experience in New Zealand where I am at the Manawatu Hunt Kennels on the north island 🇳🇿 Hunting over here is something everyone should have the chance to do, as well as everyone being so kind and welcoming.

The past few years haven’t gone without sadness though as we lost 2 of the most important people in my life. In august of 2022 saw the passing of Allan Gerrard, owner of our gorgeous Crossowen Connemara’s, Allan came along to every show possible, I’m so glad we managed to make such wonderful memories & can’t wait to see what brings for Allan’s filly Cottown Isabella Rose❤️

As March of 2023 came we were all extremely saddened to lose my amazing Mum, Donna. I cannot thank everyone who has stuck by us through this difficult time, it has been hard to adapt to not having my main supporter by my side but I’m sure she’s watching over me every step of the way.❤️

As 2024 progresses I have loved seeing everyone’s updates out competing and have loved cheering my friends on via FaceTime & hope to make it to some shows before the season is done.
