**BIG ANNOUNCEMENT**

“that’s all folks!”

Dog Club will be closing its doors for the foreseeable future on Monday 2nd September 2024.

We’ve had a blast these last few years but time to move on to new things.

Thanks for all the lovely times I’ve had with your beloved dogs. I’ll miss them all ❤️❤️

We’re very happy to tell you that following our inspection from Birmingham City Council today, Dog Club’s boarding licence has been renewed for the next 2 years and given the maximum star rating we can obtain at the moment as we have been trading for less than 3 years. 😃

This is the 14 years young Moses who is staying with us all through the Christmas fortnight. Doesn’t need huge walks which is good as I’m hobbling about a bit at the moment - but does need 2 insulin injections every day and a bit of extra help as he has cataracts in both eyes and is a wee bit hard of hearing too. I’m in love already. I love grumpy old men!! ❤️🎄🐶

Dolly is back! She is bigger and it’s a lot frostier since she was last at club but still a hyper, happy puppy!

We are keeping her occupied until tomorrow while mummy and daddy get married! 👰🏻🤵💍

Maya is a beautiful, protective, loving girl. She was quite anxious at first but we have spent days and hours assuring her that she is protected and loved by us all here at Dog Club. She is a very happy camper now!

Sometimes a dog can be anxious when they spend time at a different property away from home for the first time.

That’s why we run trial sessions, for dogs like Lacie who needs to settle in her own time and find her flow.

We can do a couple of these for a nervous dog. Going away and coming back after a few hours can build their confidence up and let them relax and enjoy their time ❤️🐶

So today Eris went home after her her 6 night stay with us at Dog Club. And this was her dejected face when she realised she was leaving! 😂

She is an amazing Belgian Malinois who needs lots of ‘work’ in her daily schedule. She is incredibly intelligent and because of this we have to be one step ahead the whole time. Her daily routine has to have at least 2 walks and 2 energetic play sessions, then some enrichment activities in between and of course - some properly scheduled rest periods as well.

We love dogs like Eris - we learn from her every time and she makes you feel so proud when she flops on you for a cuddle because she has had the best day ❤️
