We are a fully insured Castle Vale home-based business offering professional quality cuts and grooming for your dog. Grooming can be stressful for your dog, which is why we strive to make them feel as comfortable as possible and treat him/her as our own. Special needs can be catered for with hypo-allergenic products for sensitive skins. Alternatively if you would prefer to provide your own shampoo

, this can be accommodated. Your dogs happiness is paramount which is why we feel communication between yourself and us is important so we can insure the welfare of him/her. When you drop your dog off to us, we will discuss exactly what you want from us so you can walk away happy knowing you’ll be seeing a smart, happy, trimmed pooch when you return. We do not publish our prices online because they can be confusing and are subject to each individual dogs needs. We set a base price for a breed but then take into consideration variation sin size, weight, coat length, condition as well as the dogs behaviour. A final price will be discussed with you when the dog is dropped off so we can fairly assess the amount of work required. A rough estimate can be given over the phone based on a description of your dog, but we must stress that this price is not final and is subject to our conditions stated above. Grooming doesn’t start or end in a grooming salon! Regular brushing will go a long way to help reduce mats in your dogs coat which will only serve to cause your dog distress and will incur dematting costs on your grooms. If you are unsure what brushes you should use for your dogs coat feel free to bring the dog in at an appointed time so we can give you the best advice. I have a new puppy who will need grooming in the future, what can I do to introduce them to grooming? We strongly encourage introducing puppies to grooming at a young age as this could save them alot of stress later on in life. This will involve bringing your puppy to us and showing them the noises and experiences of being groomed. You can also further this training by getting your puppy happy with having his paws handled, keeping still as well as comfortable around vacuum cleaners and hairdryers. You can even use an electric toothbrush to simulate the noise of clippers around their paws and heads. Feel free to ring for advice and help on this matter it could help you to save money in the future on your grooms. Terms & Conditions
Dematting
If your dog requires dematting either by brushing or clipping it will incur an additional charge. Dematting takes longer and requires extra products to be used. Please note, not all matting can be removed through brushing. In accordance with the Animal Welfare Act, if your dogs coat is badly matted, they will be clipped if brushing causes too much stress for the animal. (We will discuss this with you prior to taking this measure)
Cancellations
Time is reserved for your appointment, meaning we ask that you give 48 hours notice upon cancelling an appointment. Failure to do so could incur a charge on your next groom. If in the unlikely circumstance that we have to cancel your appointment, we will give you as much notice as possible and do our upmost to reschedule your appointment as soon as possible. Aggressive, Nervous & Troubled Dogs
Many dogs react differently to grooming depending on experience. If your dog is found to be aggressive or particularly nervous they may be required to be muzzled. However if the dog is too dangerous to be groomed then the session will be stopped. Concerning nervous dogs, options will be discussed with you to ensure the welfare of your dog
Late Drops-Offs & Pick-Ups
As stated above, time is reserved for your appointment, and thusly for others too. If you are late dropping off your dog it could mean there is not enough time to carry out the work your dogs needs. This may mean you will need to bring your dog back to finish off his groom and can incur a further charge. We will give you prior notice to your dogs finishing time so you can get pick them up on time. We must stress that we do not have the proper facilities to keep your dog for extensive amounts of time. It is important you arrive not too early and not late as the latter may incur an additional charge. No Shows
Failure to meet your appointment can incur additional charges on your next groom and you may be requested to provide advanced payments for your appointments in the future
Pregnant & In-Heat
We will not groom bi***es that are pregnant or in heat as this can cause unnecessary stress. Complete Shave-Offs
Particularly for double-coated breeds, we may ask that you provide an advisory from your Vet if your dog needs a complete shave-off as this can cause permanent damage to your dogs coat

Transparency
We do not want to hide costs from you and wish to make it clear that all dogs differ based on their individual needs and characteristics which will affect the amount of time needed for their grooming. We will do our upmost to discuss every detail with you prior to the work being carried out so there are no nasty suprises. Any further work required that is found during the groom will not be carried out until you are contacted and are in agreement.

Holy Canoli, we're hosting a whole Dog Show at Canwell Show this weekend!

We'd love to see you and your dogs there for a full day of fun.

Music, Trade Stalls, A Main Ring with all the entertainment, petting corner, Classic Cars and most importantly The Empawrium's Novelty Dog Show!

The Dog Show starts at 11am, and we'll publish a list of the classes later in the week. You can register from 9am onwards.

Getting to places simply and quickly is just no fun!
Way better to sit in traffic and use diversions. What better way to see parts of Sutton Coldfield you never thought you needed to see!

The traffic lights on Monmouth have moved further into Sutton starting at our road (Avery)

We're recommending turning into Jevons and following the crescent round as you'll sit in less traffic. Approaching from Chester Rd if you can may make your journey easier.

Well what can I say! What a year!

I'd like to thank you all for your support with our move to the shop, those that have followed me and those that have joined us, a massive thank you, without you all it wouldn't have been possible.

I'd also like to thank you all for welcoming Sharon, for trusting me to pick the right groomer for our team and entrusting her with looking after your dog.

I'd also like to thank Sharon for all her hard work since she joined us back in May.

We've both been spoilt with Christmas presents, the biscuits have kept us going!

We will be back grooming from 2nd Jan, appointments have already started going out, if you haven't already, send me a message with rough dates and times and I'll endeavour to get you booked in over the next week. We are currently booking up to June!

Having long haired dogs and cats takes quite a bit of work to maintain their coats, introducing grooming from a young age really is key.

Mav has been brushed since the day we brought him home, he had barely any hair then, but now he has luscious flowing hair and maintaining it is a breeze, Mav seeks out his brush and comb and as you can see really gets into his groom.

You don't need a grooming table at home, in fact we don't and Mav only gets brushed in the grooming room on a Monday, but everyday of the week he is brushed at home.

Mav absolutely loves his grooming sessions. 🥰

As most of you know I started grooming from home 7 and a half years ago and remained there until we moved into the shop in January this year.

The business has grown considerably since moving, we now have the lovely Sharon working with us, she has now been with us nearly 5 months!

We were nominated for this award whilst I still operated from home, none the less it's still great to receive another award, without your continued support we wouldn't be here!

Holy Cannoli!

We're finalists!

This was a bit of a shock for us - being open less than a year when I applied for Independent Retailer of The Year I thought it might be a bit of a pipe dream. But to be 1 of 6 finalists is bonkers. We were picked from 100's of applicants all around the country!

We wont find out who the winner is until November, but just to have gotten this far is pretty chuffing great.

PIF are the organization that helped thousands of businesses to gain clarity during COVID on what they could safely and legally do by representing and corresponding with the Government.

Let's see what happens in November - wish us luck!

It's been a very hectic month for me, December is my busiest month of the year and this year we had the extra challenge of setting up the new shop! I'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone for your continued custom and support in the last year, Lewis and I are very grateful. One of big successes this year has been our 'Introduction To Grooming Course' which has been hugely popular with both puppy owners and owners of older dogs that aren't all that keen on the whole grooming process. The course has been put together with your dogs happiness and welfare at the forefront, as you know if a dog isn't happy I always offer you ways to help them. Below is a little video of Bertie the Cockerpoo Puppy who has completed his course and now had two Puppy Grooms, I am drying him with our high velocity dryer on full and he isn't even batting an eyelid! His owners have done a great job with his homework! Please remember that all grooms will now be from our new shop The Empawrium ! The shop will be open in-between Christmas and New Year (grooming will start in January) Lastly Merry Christmas! 🎄🎄

Kevin (the happiest Labrador) and I are here all day, the 6 freezers are FULL! We have lots of ..... treats, enrichment toys, leads, harnesses, collars, coats, cuddly toys, dry food, wet food, chews and poo bags! We are here until 4.00 so pop in and say Plenty of FREE parking! Our Cucumber Face Wash really cleans up those grubby beards and faces, just look at the colour of the water at the end! 🤢 This can be added to your dogs groom for just £3! Badger now has a squeaky clean, Cucumber fresh smelling muzzle ❤️

Sometimes you've just got to let them roll in 💩💩😂😂 Opie and Kevin had a great time rolling, thankfully Jasper isn't a roller! Opie was not pleased with the thorough scrubbing he had when he got home 😂💩

Puppy cuddles are needed sometimes to help with desensitisation of the dryer 😊 Look at how small Teddy is under all that hair!
