📣Changes to our On Call Service📣

At A+G Vets we have always strived to provide the best care for our patients and this extends also to the hours that we are not open and are providing an emergency on call service. Up until recently since the closure of Vets ER in Falkirk several years ago we have managed this via collaboration with another local practice and Broadleys Vets in Stirling. We have decided that to provide clarity and reduce any potential confusion we will be moving our on call provider exclusively to Emergency Vets Glasgow. We feel this is a positive move for our patients to ensure they can get constant first class treatment by a dedicated emergency service already on site.
We are conscious that some clients may not feel comfortable driving into Glasgow but we have made the journey ourselves and it is very straight forward and within 25 minutes of our practice. Many practices already outsource their on call to larger centres in Edinburgh and Glasgow and we have tried for as long as possible to keep it local.

You may remember Arlo our kitten main c**n from a few months back, he is still a kitten but at a whopping 6.9kg🐾

As you can tell from his milestone pictures, he really enjoys our cat scales 🥰❤️

The pheromones we discuss within this post are available within the practice and come in various options.

Adaptil is purely for dogs and it is a synthetic form of pheromone that pups get from their mum to help them feel a little less anxious

Feliway is a cat only pheromone which mimics the facial pheromones, that they deposit by rubbing their cheeks on surfaces

Pet Remedy is a multi species pheromone which uses the Valerian essential oil alongside Vetiver, sweet basil and sage to help reduce anxiety.

📣📣Parasite and Vaccine reminders📣📣

We are currently experiencing a few technical issues with our automated reminder systems since our Practice management company has had a software update. It has come to our attention that some clients may not have received their reminders so if you think you may be due anything please give us a call or message us and we can check for you.

Picasso, An African grey has escaped yesterday from Bantaskin Falkirk (around Falkirk High School)

He's a rescue parrot very chatty, sings and whistles. He is very wary of strangers.

🐾 Rehoming 🐾

An owner has came to the hard decision to rehome their two adult cats. Unfortunately they are getting really stressed out with the toddler in the house so are looking for a child free (and other pet free) home together.

We have had a very young kitten handed in from a member of the public, found at the canal in Bonnybridge.

The kitten is not chipped and requires minor medical attention
