Please always try to find your lost shoes, not to make my life easier but for your horses safety! An up turned shoe can cause serious injury if it is stood on or even rolled on in the field.

**CUSTOMER NOTICE**

It’s the final week of my time off!

I will be back to work and fully open for business again on MONDAY 4th March.

Thank you all so much for bearing with me both pre and post my operation. I am now pretty much fully recovered and pain free! I take this opportunity to apologise for being such a mardy arse in the run up to the op, pain was killing me more than I think I truly realised!

I have been in touch with as many of you as I could and have booked in any work that Jack Hyde has covered for me as well as those covered by Glyn Trundle, Josh, Stephen and Ben

I would like to extend THE BIGGEST thank you to all those guys who have gone above and beyond to help both you and me out. They’ve all done an incredible job keeping you all shod and happy whilst I’ve been off. I owe you all a fair few pints!

Please be aware I am back, but will likely be a little off match fitness for a couple of weeks, so I have booked appointments with a little extra time so if I get going quicker than expected I may be asking to get to you a little early.

Once again, huge thank you to all of you who have remained loyal to me during what has been a tricky logistical time for everyone, I really really do appreciate it.

Reminder that work hours are Monday - Friday 8am to 5.30pm any calls or text outside of these will be dealt with at the next working day.

Festive greetings to all of my loyal customers, thank you all for bearing with me through my recovery!

I have this week been back to the hospital for my 6 week post op check up. Thank he consultant is very happy with my progress. Mobility is coming back, strength is beginning to come back albeit slowly.

I have been given the all clear to get back walking as far as I can manage, I’ve been given the all clear to get back on my bike, but only in the turbo trainer in the garage at the moment). I have been given the thumbs up to start some gym work to build back some strength.

All positive news, he has also given me a firm idea of when I can start work again, so with everything continuing as it has been, I aim to be back to work

A huge thank you still goes out to Jack, Glyn, , and all the other guys that have helped me out whilst I’ve been off.

Lastly a big thank you to all those who have stuck by me and the business! Really appreciate it and it won’t be long now until I’m back out seeing you all again!

Just a little update to you all.

I am now 4 weeks post op, beginning to feel much more comfortable. Thank goodness the pain in my hip has gone now from what it was pre op, just some tightness around the scars.
I am learning to walk properly again, managing around the house without my crutches, but still need them out and about in longer walks.
As far as work goes, massive thank you to Jack, Glyn, Josh, Howard and Stephen for all their help in keeping everyone nicely shod and looked after whilst I’m off. I hope to start getting out in the van/truck with Jack in the next couple of weeks to see everyone and get a change of scenery! I won’t be able to do much more than chat and drink coffee, but someone’s got to do it 🤣

I’m other news, the little green van is at the van doctors and getting fixed up back to its former glory. Therefore, all being well i and the van aim to gently come back into work around the end of February time.

As many of you know, I have been struggling with my hip for a while now, and I have now been given a date for my replacement! As glad as I am to be counting down the days until I’m pain free at last, it does however mean I will be off work for a around 12 weeks.

My operation is scheduled for 11th October, 6 weeks yesterday. As a result of this I am now finally able to book in the guys to cover for me whilst I’m off.

Please bare with me whilst I juggle everyone around as best I can, I am trying.

If for any reason l, in the coming weeks, you’re worried I’ve missed you off any rescheduling please don’t hesitate to get in touch, it isn’t deliberate!

Massive thanks to all the guys who have offered to help me out whilst I’m recovering, fingers crossed it all goes smoothly and I’m back to full strength as swiftly as possible.

For now, nothing changes, full steam ahead before honeymoon next Sunday and will be flat to the boards when I get back for the 3 weeks until surgery.

Any concerns just shout.

I have been holding off and holding off but sadly I can no longer avoid the inevitable, after hearing of another 25% increase in the price of a box of shoes, and 15% increase of a box of nails. I agave been forced into an immediate increase in shoeing prices.

This is not a decision I have taken lightly, nor is it one I’ve taken to gain myself, this is to maintain.

Thanks to Shaun and Chris, the ole work horse is back out in the rounds today. Even treated her to a birthday wash to get rid of all the oil stains from Tuesday.
