Good evening everyone,

Unfortunately, I have a trapped nerve in my neck/shoulder (which is affecting my right arm too)which has been totally debilitating and I’ve been in agony on and off

Initially I thought I’d be okay in a few days and really thought that I had turned the corner yesterday but unfortunately this was not the case and I’ve been in immense pain again today and being pregnant, I’m very limited on my options of painkiller which is not helpful.

After discussions with my family and on the advice from my doctor today, I’ve decided to go on maternity leave early.

I am so sorry to everyone who have grooms booked or whom I have rescheduled for this week. It hasn’t been an easy decision and I’m really upset that I’ve had to let people down.
I have been putting immense pressure on myself to keep working, but as I am due in just over four weeks, I feel I owe it to myself and the new arrival to take time out to heal before he arrives.

I will still be returning on October 1st as planned and I would love to welcome you all back in October. (obviously some people have already booked and if you have, please let me know if you wish to keep those appointments as I am conscious your schedules may be out of sync after this announcement).

To all my lovely customers 🌺🐾🐶

We are delighted to announce a new addition to our family in middle of August (another baby boy!)

I have been trying telling people face to face but I’m losing track of who I’ve told so thought it’s best to put a post up

Another reason is to let you all know that I’m not taking very long off of work (roughly 8 weeks) and have my diary ready to book everyone in for their last grooms, and first ones back

I have another groomer or twos contact details for those who need a groom inbetween

Today I teamed up with Kim at Doggy styles for this huge job on a lovely GSD X called Bozza He totally bossed it and was so patient for the duration of the groom 🌟🐶

A few years ago I organised lots of donations and Christmas shoe boxes to donate to Holly Hedge. I did not do it last year as I was so busy setting up Happy Hounds and looking after our baby But I’m excited to be doing it again this year! This year I am choosing Dogs Friends to do Boxes and collect donations for As I recently groomed a foster dog and they are doing fab things for these pooches. I know Christmas is a long way off and money is tight for all, but a little can go a long way for these charities You can drop off donations and Christmas boxes when you bring your dogs in for their groom at Happy Hounds or I will select a day where I come and collect donations from people All you have to do is the following 1.Get an empty shoe box 2.Fill with dog stuff (I usually spend £10/12 on a box) with dog food, treats and a toy It doesn’t have to be crazy expensive (but please no Raw Hide) Wrap in festive paper (or not…up to you!) Or if you have bags of dog food or other larger items I’m happy to take them too.
