Summer shows back after a long winter! Great day at Otley show yesterday with a good turnout of Herefords. Hollyvale 1 June 3rd winning the cow class and taking Reserve Female champion.
Well done to winners and all NEHBA members for putting on a great show for our judge Isla Souter who did a super job!

Hollyvale 1 Leyla 11th - Lot 12 Hereford Cattle Society UK spring show and sale.

A sweet, dark, well marked heifer from a great line. Her Dam has bred well for us; great udder and teats carrying a moderate frame. Leyla 11th is sure to go and be a breeder!

Johnes and BVD level 1 for 8 years with SAC.

Pleased to still have these Autumn calves outside (before the storm arrives ⛈️) with plenty of grass and milk about. Plenty of tree cover for the next few days! 🤞🏼

Really pleased with the stamp Kinglee 1 Vanguard has put on the calves this year, style and consistency.

Lot 29 HCS Spring show and sale.

At just over 12 months old this heifer shows great promise. Very sweet and feminine she's by a dam, Dendor Ruby 24th that has bred daughters sold into pedigree herds. Sire Fisher 1 Profile carries plenty of style and breed character.

Herd accredited for Johnes and BVD for 6 years and from a TB4 area.

Lot 16- Hollyvale 1 Lola 3rd

From a dam, Hollyvale 1 Lola, who consistently produces and hasn't missed a beat with her calving history. She's bred bulls sold into pedigree and commercial herds along with heifers sold into pedigree herds. She carries a great udder and with nice teat size, never needing assistance when suckling calves (she wouldn't be in the herd if she did!).

Sire Gouldingpoll 1 Gold Spice, a bull with great performance EBV's and Terminal and Self replacing indices in the top 1% of the breed.

A very sweet, dark heifer from our most successful female lines. Our 'Leyla' line is a family of consistently, moderate sized females with good balance, style and great milking abilities (200 day milk in top 10%).

Gg.Dam Hollyvale 1 Leyla won her class at the poll show when shown as a heifer. Sire Netherhall 1 Jack possesses super easy fleshing skills. Maternal Grandsire Kinglee 1 Hero carries a 200 day milk figure in the top 1% of the breed.

🩺Johnes level 1 status, accredited clear for 6 years. BVD accredited for 6 years. Individually tested negative for IBR and Lepto.
