Oscar- Maltese cross. Came in for a full groom with his two brothers. Oscar is the most attention seeking of the three. If there are kisses or cuddles going he is the first in line. But I do not mind he is super cute and so well behaved for me.
Coco-Maltese cross. Came in for a full groom with his brothers. Coco has the softest of coats and he allows me to groom him with no fuss. Out of the three brothers he is the most laid back. So I have to make sure all three get equal attention and cuddles.
Buster- Maltese cross. Came in with his brothers . He is the sweetest boy and very well behaved for his groom. I always get lots of cuddles and kisses which is lovely.
Bluebelle- Collie Came in for her de- shed. She is such a beautiful dog with a lovely temperament. I look forward to grooming her. How can you resist that face. She even wore her Bark & Blossom bandana she got from her first visit, just love the red against the colour of her coat
Until next time Bluebelle. .
Waiting for pick up time. So time to play with groomer. Such a happy boy.
Bodhi- Cavapoo. He did so much better today beginning to trust me and relax much more during his groom. I am so proud of you such a big change from your first visit when you were so nervous. You are a Super Star!
Bark & Blossom attending the Liskeard Show today.
Nova- Wire Fox Terrier. Beautiful girl came in for her regular groom. Gave her a lovely green ribbon around her top knot. Mum loves a top knot. Such a well behaved girl love grooming her. Until next time Nova.
When you are trying to take a cute selfie! And the dogs have other ideas. They decided it was kiss the groomer time .
A super cute picture of Harvey and Rolo.
Harvey- Came in for his regular groom. His just the sweetest soft natured boy. Who is really well behaved and makes the task of grooming him easy. See you soon Harvey.
Rolo- Toy Poodle. Rolo came in for his regular groom. He is such a sweetheart always well behaved and always lots of cuddles. He has a beautiful coat which mum likes long. See you soon baby .
Sonny- Maltese/Shih Tzu. He was such a good boy very nervous at first and kept being a pancake on the table. So we took everything slow I showed him all the equipment before using it on him and when it was too much we stopped and had cuddles many cuddles. And it worked as the time went on he stood up for me and trusted me. He has very fine hair think that’s the Shih Tzu part so we left longer, his face his mum wanted as short as possible. I love how his hair on his head has a natural parting. Sonny I am really glad you came to me you were such a good boy and definitely deserved your Bark & Blossom bandana.
Fifi and Floyd ready to go home.
Fifi-Cavapoo. She came in for her regular groom ,always so sweet and well behaved. She makes my job easy so calm and relaxed. Gold star for Fifi.
Floyd-Toy Poodle came in for his regular groom. He knows all the tricks as Poodles do! A cheeky monkey but he knows the routine by now and had a nap while I groomed Fifi.
Burt and Chalky ready to go home.
Burt and Chalky- Jack Russell crosses First visit to Bark & Blossoms. They were super cute and identical except Chalky had a larger area of white on his back. Their personalities were different, Burt was more laid back and calm while his brother chalky was more cheeky. Loved grooming them and had double cuddles.at the end. Welcome Burt and Chalky to the Bark & Blossom family. See you both soon.
We had a fab time at Tavi Pride. We did not stay for dog show as it came out too hot for Archie and Blossom. Coming home they were both fast asleep in their car seat. Thankfully my car has very good air conditioning which they and I were thankful for.
Bark & Blossom will be attending the fun Tavistock Pride today. Fingers crossed for sun! Here’s a sneak picture of Archie and Blossom dressed for the occasion.
Bath Time
Belle- Maltese Came in for her regular groom. She is the most beautiful soft stunning white coated girl, who has the most sweetest temperament. This is why I love my job working with cuties like Belle. See you soon for more cuddles.
Herbie-Cockapoo. Love this boy, he finds the grooming process so hard but we still managed to groom him. Well done Herbie a big achievement I know.
All my dogs are allowed to free roam around the salon. And in this case Twix wanted to be near Juanito so no problem . He came on the table as well and for most of it he just went to sleep. They are both very well behaved dogs so this was ok to do with this two. I had no fear of any of them jumping down without me helping them down. . But you have to really know the dogs and their temperament. It was a quick video to show that you do not need to use any restraints.
Juanita and Twix - Springer Spaniel and Pointer- came in for their regular grooms. They were as always such a joy to groom. I always get lots of cuddles and they are such a bonded pair now. See you soon babies.
How many large dogs can you have in a salon at once? Well I had two Hendrix and Rita and they were so well behaved. I allowed them to free roam and when I was grooming one the other got comfy on the dog bed. They are from the same family this is why they were together. No restraints or crates ever used here.
Rita- Dalmatian. First visit for this lady. Such a gentle girl sailed through her groom. Looked so pretty with her bandana. Welcome to the Bark & Blossom family Rita. Can not wait to see you again.
Hendrix- Flat Coat Retreiver- First visit for this beauty. A big de-shed job but what a difference. Went out a lot lighter and coat was so shiny . Welcome to the Bark & Blossom family Hendrix can not wait to see you again.
Mia- Border Terrier. Such a lovely senior comes to Bark & Blossom for her regular full groom, she is clipped due to her age. Always so pleased to see me and I her.

Charlie- Paterdale/ Border Terrier. Charlie is one of my dogs. Here we are getting his hygiene area clipped. He does not have a lot of hair there but can still get knots if I do not clear it. And we like to have a bit of fun while doing it. I find it better to do it this way so I can do it quick for him. Charlie is very used to his mad mummy.
Another cute video. Remember in this hot weather never leave your dog in your car at any time! Even when you shop and with a window slightly open. Your car heats up very quickly and your dog can quickly succumbe to this and possibly could die. Always feel the pavement with the back of your hand if you can not leave your hand there without it hurting it is too hot for your dog to walk. Always carry water for your dog and if you must walk your dog please do it early morning or late afternoon when it is the coolest. If very hot it is best to leave your dog at home with the curtains closed.
How to cool off on a hot day. In a pool much safer than a river. Obviously supervised at all times. And only a short time maybe 15 / 20 mins as swimming is more strenuous than a dog walk. And also remember not all dogs enjoy swimming just like us.
When I say I groom on the floor if necessary. I really do. It may be more difficult for me but if it suits the dog that’s all that matters. And yes that noise is rain.
Mini clippers for a mini dog. Clipping the pads. Please note my videos are just for fun. They are not to teach you how to do any part of a groom. Clippers and scissors can seriously cut your dog . Please never attempt to copy.
This is myself and Izzie sitting on the floor for her groom. I had already used the blaster dryer on her and was now using my handheld dryer just to finish. As you can see she is so relaxed and slightly leaning on me. What a good girl.
This is Teddy -Cairn Terrier. It is very important when your dog is with me for over 2 hrs that they are allowed time off the table. I always take them in the garden for a break and allow them free access to my grooming space. To just explore and see it is not a scary place. At the end of a groom it is also helpful for me to see if I have missed any hairs while they run around.
