A quick overnight pit stop for this gorgeous munchkin
It’s always so lovely when a fluff can’t wait to get out of the car shouting “Yay! Where’s OzzyBear!” as Lyra did.
She run in and had the best time with us…. We pack a lot in a day, walks, swims & of course oodles of zoomies in the garden
Lovely to see you Lyra & receive so much of your affection which of course was reciprocated

ARLO
This gorgeous pickle came for a long holiday and we had a blast..
Arlo is Ozzys buddy & loves snuggling up to him for a sleep.
He’s super cool, loves chasing rabbits in our garden, long adventure walks in the woods, swims and stick picking, not just any stick… it has to be the perfect stick!
He really is an absolute sweetheart and makes me smile every day 😊

Needed a bath before going home as he had half the forest attached to him and such muddy paws they looked like wellies! But we had fun!

Such a pleasure looking after this gorgeous little Mouse on his long holiday with us..
For such a young pup, one of his many lovely characteristics is having balls of steel & he took on the role of Ozzys bodyguard 😄
This adorable bundle of fluff is funny, energetic, super sociable, loving & affectionate.
Being so young, i had to put him in his docking station ( also known as his pen) to recharge, I’m sure he’d tell you otherwise but I think he was quite pleased to get a snooze!
Watching this pup grow up has filled my heart with joy and we woof him very much

Pinch & Punch on the First of the Month!

It’s been an incredibly busy few weeks at The Pines and it’s made me evaluate the logistics of how we will run The Pines Dog Boarding in the future…. I’ve loved and enjoyed every dog but even though it was profitable it was also hectic & exhausting! I prefer a more calm & relaxing environment for our boarders, where they are not competing for attention, lap time etc…& no dog gets left out.

I’ll keep it as brief as possible

BOARDING
Even though I’m licensed for a large number of dogs, I will only take a maximum of 3 small dogs, 2 if spaniel size or bigger
This ensures good quality playing, socialising, walks & lap time.
If you have holiday dates, please let me know asap to avoid disappointment

TIMINGS
Drop off & collection hours are now 9am to 6pm
There is wiggle room at either end but if it’s a few hours more, then please book another night..
When we arrange drop off & collection times, please try and arrive promptly, I’ve arranged my schedule of feeding, walks, other dog collection etc.., around these times.

PAYMENTS
Boarding fees are for a 24h period
If you drop your dog off at 9am & collect at 6pm the following day, this will be charged at 2 days rate, not 1 night rate.
A 50% deposit must be paid at the time of booking with the remaining balance paid on or before your dog arrives….i will not accept dogs with outstanding balances.
Unless a deposit is paid, a provisional booking will only be held for 5 days after which the dates will be released without further notice

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for trusting your dogs in my care, my sole aim is to carry on loving & nurturing your dog just the same but in smaller numbers.

We just Labr-ADORE this gorgeous boy.
An overnight pit stop but we packed a lot in, long walk, swim & ball playing in the garden.
Jagger bounced in and immediately looked for Ozzy who greeted him with a lick on the side of his face, just the sweetest moment

FREDDIE & MAX
So much love for these little fluffy munchkins!
Seasoned regulars at The Pines who run in, in Freddie’s case bounces in 😄 and it’s home from home.
Fur siblings, very different characters but both very sociable, affectionate and so scrumptiously cuddly.
They loved playing with the other little boarders, running and chasing rabbits in our garden.
My best buddies & I Woof them so much 💕
Look forward to our next time together my little pumpkins ❤️

Cooling toys that go in the freezer are very likely to contain “orbeez” these are water beads that freeze..
They are dangerous if ingested as they absorb water and expand, possibly causing blockages.
FREEZE CARROTS INSTEAD a much healthier option, cheaper too!!

ELSIE
A glorious weekend spent with this cherub.
Elsie brightness up the dullest day with her vivacious character.
She loved her adventures through the woods especially the path that took us to the water, but being a Bank Holiday there was lots of kayak activity so she was kept on a long lead as she wanted to follow them 😄
Once home she had the freedom of the garden with her bestie Ozzy and boy did they have fun!
But she still found time for a bit of domestic help by rearranging all my garden cushions.
Elsie, it’s been a blast! and we can’t wait for your next holiday with us

Ozzy was asked by Dogs Trust to participate in their National Dog Survey and the results are in!
The results were fun to read
The most popular dogs names are Poppy & Teddy, Ozzy came 44th 😊
The survey ended with “Ozzy being the secret to my happiness”……he is the cherry on the top!
I’m truly blessed with the best hubby, children, family and loyal friends ❤️

What an absolute gem you are!
A couple of nights pit stop and we’ve loved having you
Freddie is the most laid back, gracious & affectionate lab you could meet…. If there’s such a thing as a polite dog, then Freddie takes the crown….he sits and waits for all commands
After his night time wee, Freddie takes himself off to his crate and sleeps peacefully all night
We very much look forward to your next holiday with us soon
Freddie you’ve been a joy and a credit to your lovely owners 💕

TEDDY
Stayed with us for a long holiday
A shy boy but sociable with all the boarders that he met whilst staying with us
A super cuddler, a forest explorer & zoomie master which resulted in a superb nights sleep
Teddy thoroughly enjoyed his stay at The Pines & was Uber excited to see his family after his long holiday.
I’m sure he slept all day once he got home 😀

Very late posting pictures of this cheeky chappie.
Little ball of fluff, huge personality, very confident around all dogs big or small, loved water & our forest adventures!
Rabbit chaser in the garden & another roller… Milo enjoyed his stay to the fullest & made me smile 😊
Apologies to his lovely owners as he didn’t go home as clean as when he arrived but he certainly had fun 😄

You know what they say happens to time when you’re having fun! It did fly & you had so much fun with Ozzy.
Evie can be a bit timid with other dogs but with Ozzy she feels totally comfortable and trusts him implicitly… Some of the attached photos show Ozzy cuddling Evie 💕
A gentle girl who loves a cuddle, our adventures through the woods and zoomies around the garden.

The most layed back & chilled Spaniel you could meet.
Loved our walks through the forest & his daily swim.
Affectionate, calm, sociable and really enjoyed being in the garden with the others.
We so enjoyed looking after this boy.

MURPHY
My angel with a dirty face.
So much love for this little one.
Murphy strolls in & settles into our little routine straight away…. He is super cool, loves all dogs & people, confidente, sociable, affectionate, loves water & our walks are not complete until he rolls around on the Forest floor and camouflages himself, it all sticks to wet fur quite nicely!
We were able to do lots of daily breezy walks through the forest in the warmer weather as there’s no hot tarmac to get there, lots of pines which create a gorgeous shady canopy & a nice cool swim too! Once home he loved the freedom of our garden and of course, more rolls!
You make me smile every day my little badger ❤️

THE PINES drop off routine.

I’m not a dog behaviourist but have done enough courses & read enough books to understand dogs feelings.
I’m introducing a drop off routine which I would appreciate you adhere to, to ensure your dogs arrival is a happy & positive experience

1. Your dogs home routine changes, the suitcases are down from the loft, they see you pack etc..they know that something is happening

2. Say your goodbyes to your dog at home so when you drop them off, leave promptly without tears and fuss…. Dogs pick up your vibes!
Tearful goodbyes will make your dogs anxious, especially those with separation anxiety and this makes it harder for your dog to settle and makes our job as a boarder much more difficult
On collection, you can spend as long as you like making a fuss.

3. Please do not bring a jumper or T-shirt with your scent, this is not helpful. There’s nothing more disconcerting for your dog, they can smell you but can’t find you….. instead bring a favourite toy or blanket for bedtime

4.if you do need to come in and talk about change of diet, medication etc…that’s ok but on leaving just say a cheery bye.

Thank you for your cooperation, your dog drop off should be a happy, positive experience and their happiness, confidence and settling in is of paramount importance to us

If cuteness was an Olympic event, Milo would win gold.
This titchy little fella is very ballsy though & loves a good play with all dogs regardless of size… He absolutely loved Dolly & the feeling was mutual
For such a young pup, Milo is incredibly well behaved, house trained & happily goes in his pen at bedtime

DOLLY
Came for a long holiday with us
Super cool, sassy, confident, very affectionate & every doggies friend.
Dolly saw lots of dogs during this holiday and took the role of seasoned Pines playbuddy!
She was also my little Olympic TV friend & was happy to sit and cuddle during the events.
I shall miss this little fluff ball, my loo buddy, my neck warmer but she’s gone home to her very loving family and that makes me happy 💕

BENJO
Stayed with us for his three week holiday
Very young dog but super sociable, loves all dogs & humans
Benjo was happiest zooming around the garden and chasing rabbits…. This little fella definitely contributed to my daily step count 😊
Ozzy & the other boarders will miss Benjo as I’m sure Benjo will miss them…..
It’s been a blast little one 💕

CHESTER
This absolute legend spent a long holiday with us.
Chester ran in and had so much fun with Ozzy & all his buddies, he loves all dogs & humans.
We feel totally comfortable with each other & Chester feels like my own dog.
I’m going to miss him but I’m so happy that he’s home with his awesome owners.
So much love for you Chester 💕
