👀 The pool has had a huge top up overnight and is looking crystal clear, the grass has been cut, shampoo replaced, bins emptied, the sun is shining and it’s looking to be a beautiful day 🌞
Today we have just 2pm left available.
Tomorrow we have 7am, 11am, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm and 5pm.

Other ‘trainers’: You are the alpha. You need to show your dog who’s boss. They mustn’t be allowed on the sofa or to eat before you or to go through doorways before you.
Me when one of my dogs needs the toilet but doesn’t like the rain 🤣:
🥳 VERY pleased to say that the pump for the pool in the secure field is working again! 🥳
We’ve had two weeks of intermittent issues and so we’ve had to close the field on a number of occasions until it was working again but now we are back up and running!
Thanks so much to everyone who’s been so understanding after we’ve had to reschedule their session ❤️
The water had a huge top up, clean and is ready to go!

The weekend is basically fully booked but we have midweek slots available between now and then 👌🏼
A great water confidence training session for Tilly earlier today, in our secure field for hire.
She was previously skirting around puddles and didn’t want to go in water at all (unusual for a Labrador!) but after some patience, help and encouragement, she was retrieving a toy and asking for it to be thrown in for more.
She also did her first few swims today as we gradually increased the depth we threw it ❤️🙌🏼
Look at those ears 🐶👂😍😭
Super cute Chester practicing his recall in a highly distracting environment (in a forest, across a bridge with a river running underneath) during his weekly 1-2-1, as part of his puppy package of 8 sessions, after completing an initial pack of 4 when he was too young to leave the house!
The earlier you start training your puppy, the better!
Chester is doing so well, super confident, very smart and today was amazing as we progressed his training to around people and dogs 🙌🏼
We let him greet a couple of calm dogs, which he was great at, and then taught him to check in with his mum for the majority of people and dogs we came across to prevent him wanting and expecting to say hello to everyone (although everyone wants to say hello to him!)
If you are wanting to get your puppy off to the best start and interested in my popular premium puppy package of 8 1-2-1s, please get in touch asap as I am now taking bookings for mid-end of August. For weekends we are now mostly looking at September onwards aside from the odd space here and there.
The puppy 1-2-1 package can be started from as early as the first week your puppy comes home during which we can go over routine, layout of the home environment, training, socialisation and much more. I am contactable via WhatsApp, text or email should you need help or advice between sessions.

🥳🥳 I am VERY pleased to announce that we now FINALLY have a fully functioning, powerful pump and filter system installed for the pool within the secure field 🥳🥳
It has been a long time coming. We had been trying to get this sorted since we opened 9 months ago but there has been constant delays and problems outside of our control so it kept getting pushed back over and over again.
We have been maintaining the pool, thanks to the help of a local pool specialist company, with chlorine, testing it regularly and topping it up with fresh water multiple times a week but we now finally have a proper pump and filter system in place to ensure the water stays as fresh as possible 🤩🙌🏼
This has come just in time for the warm weather starting and summer almost upon us 🌞
We had a fully booked 3 day bank holiday weekend but we still have plenty of spaces this week, perfect for the half term holidays as your kids can come along too!
There is also an agility set, sand pit for digging, bespoke sheltered seating area, 6ft secure fencing all the way round and more within our premium secure field for hire!
If your dog loves a swim, you can book our secure field here www.positivepawscambridge.co.uk/booking
If your dog has friends they’d like to bring along, it is £2 per additional dog from other households.
(Please note, this is the second option on the booking page, beneath the agility field for hire)
A quick clip of lovely young 17 week old Lana on her weekly 1-2-1. This was her first time EVER off-leash, after lots of training sessions using a longline since she was 10 weeks old, and what an amazing recall she now has.
Here she spots a dog not far ahead chasing his ball around, starts to head over but then stops dead on the spot after hearing her name then recalls back once she hears her recall word! This happened over and over again today.
She was off-leash for around 45 mins and was absolutely amazing. She was also able to greet and then recall away from interacting with a number of dogs today.
We popped her back on if we were close to or passing an on-leash dog, just incase, but she didn’t bother trying to get to them.
For her training up until now, we have focused on allowing her to greet around 1 in every 10 or so dogs she sees and all Interactions kept very brief. The other dogs and people she saw, we taught her meant check in with her human and to keep moving or to wait until they’ve passed. This is teach her most dogs are not for playing with so that she can pass them without frustration, pulling at them or ignoring her humans.
We let her greet dogs we were confident weren’t going to flatten or chase her as she was nervous of dogs and people at first and now she is absolutely amazing with the ones we have let her say hello to.
Focus on quality over quantity in your dog’s socialisation, whether it is to people, dogs or other things.
This is all thanks to her human mum’s hard work in meeting her needs and focusing on training her from a very young age.
See the quick clip in the comments for how she behaved through her first time off-leash today 🙌🏼😍
