This is such a busy bunch imported to take a video because they don’t stand still long enough, especially when they’ve had some time off of seeing each other!

So good to be back! Some peace and quiet at last 😂

Bailey was very excited to be back! He got the zoomies but they were silent zoomies. In other words he didn’t bark whilst he was charging around the woods. Why? Storm (aka Minxy Moo) does not permit barking in the group 😂. I am not joking either!

Just the four of us today, and Bertie was absolutely bonkers! I ended up having to pop him back on lead so he could calm down before he caused himself an injury 😳. He just kept getting the zoomies and kept running into the long grass and into me 😬

The othet two were a lot more chilled 😅

Lovely walk, we didn’t see many people but we did hear somethjng!

We heard a ‘moooooo’ which seemed to be pretty close. It made everyone stop and stare in the direction of the sound. I quickly ushered everyone a long and didn’t hang around 😂

Cows and horses scare me! Have you ever tried walking in a field with cows? I have and I’d never do it again 😂

A huge tree branch has fallen down in the woods, from a very old tree.

I think the trees are dying 😢. I’m seeing more and more fallen trees and for this particular one to break off (it’s huge) when we’ve had no wind or rain . It makes me feel really sad.

I made use of it though and let the dogs have a really good sniff. They loved it, and I just wondered what they could smell? How many different scents? Birds, squirrels, insects?

We bumped into quite a few dogs, so having made the decision to have Max on the long line was a good one! He aced every dog we came into contact with. It was the two second rule for him though. 3 seconds is too long for this terrier!

We managed to get out whilst the sun was covered by the clouds so it was a little cooler 😅.

It was chilled, they were all so well behaved, and little Ruby nearly got lost in the mud. She was having a drink and stepped a bit too far and I saw her sinking. She was quick though and soon managed to get out, but ended up with little muddy paws.

Everyone got a nice cool shower at the end of the walk!

Out early again and these guys were very lively!

We went via the sausage tree, I didn’t squish any sausages or scatter any this time, but they went and had a good old sniff around.

Could they have smelt something from last time or was it because they’ve got used to me doing it and so now actively check it to see if they can find any? Could be both.

It made me think about training, if you do something consistently it soon becomes a habit!

Bertie stood on Pippa a few times and she was not impressed. His eyesight isn’t great in one of his eyes 😢. By the end of the walk he was giving her wide berths 😂

I think Ruby quite liked having another dog of similar size to her.

Today we were out even earlier, alll walks were done by 11 😅

There is so much to consider when it’s hot, coat colour, how close to the ground the dog is, age, weight, breed, how energetic the group is etc. If this was a lively group (which they’re not) I would be alternating some lead time.

Today we met (from a distance) a young male lab. His guardians saw me coming and asked whether it would be ok for him to meet the group. I said no (very politely) because

A) Storm has hip dysplasia and does not like bouncy dogs near her.
B)Max does not like in tact males full stop.
C). Lola is shy and wouldn’t appreciate it.
D) it would probably set Barney off with his zoomies, which would make Max crazy which would set Storm off. Basically all hell would break loose!

However, what an amazing couple to ask. We had a lovely conversation afterwards and I thanked them for being so considerate!

The photos are a bit rubbish today, not sure why.

I thought we’d head off to the watering hole, I’ve not been for a while and won’t be going again any time soon either 😂.

The route to get there was so overgrown I got attacked by stinging nettles, brambles and some sticky things that usually get attached to the dogs. I had to keep going though because I didn’t want to risk balancing on the log and jumping a ravine again. I managed it once but don’t think I’d be so lucky second time round!

The dogs had a blast because they were in the shade and dipped themselves in water every now and then. Muddy water but it was still water.

I got to use my shower again muahahaha 🦹

Out early this morning to try and get out before it got too hot for the dogs!

Ludo did his usual, and I didn’t mind so much today because I wanted to try out my new fancy shower! It was amazing! I used practically all of the water on Ludo so hope he was clean enough when he got home.

As you’ll see by the photos, Ludo covered everyone with mud, including Inca but you can’t see it on her. She did get showered as well !

Such posers today 😂

Tresco found a ball, and his sense of smell continues to amaze me. He was running around in the long grass when he suddenly picked up a scent. His head went down, and a moment later, he popped up with a ball in his mouth.

They are such clever little things!

Tresco joined us on this one today! It was a very lively group 🤪

We had Penelope and Rico chasing one another, Otis chasing Rico, Penelope chasing Otis and Tresco joining in every now and then. I got whipped on the back of my leg from the long line - it’s a hazardous job 😂

All the hyper activity made Brodie a tad excited too.

They really were bonkers today, a lovely bonkers though.

Bailey found a stick today! I really don’t like my dogs playing with sticks, it’s just an accident waiting to happen, so I quickly swapped it out with a treat.

Bonnie and Bailey hit it off. Once Bonnie sussed everyone out and felt a little more relaxed they had a good run around!

Inca rolled in something 😭, she’s an absolute nightmare for poo!

Well the sun was out, what more could you ask for?

It was just the four members today which meant for a super chilled walk.

I noticed Blue air scenting, and I immediately knew what he was up to—he could smell 🦊💩. It was fascinating to watch: his nose went up, he bounced around, and it was clear he was trying to pinpoint the exact spot. I continued walking, not wanting to alert the rest of the gang, but eventually, I had to stop because I lost sight of him behind the long grass.

I walked back and spotted a tail in the air, I waited a few minutes, and when he finally came back, he stunk! It was an absolutely disgusting smell, with flies. Just for good measure.

Did I mention my shower is broken?

🦊💩😬

Tuesdays' gang and my two girls joined us for our walk today. We stuck to the main path to avoid the mud, though Max still managed to find a muddy puddle 🙈.

Along the way, we met a few dogs, including one of my puppy clients! All the dogs were fantastic and made me proud.

Whenever we stay on the main path, Max is on a long line just to be on the safe side!

22/07/2024

We dodged the rain whoop whoop!

Tresco was off in the long grass the whole walk, Spencer and Jasper were very sprightly and Max wanted my chicken. He doesn’t often ask for treats but the last couple of walks he’s made it clear he’d like some . He just has to watch out for Jasper who barges everyone out the way so he can get in front 😂

About Me

Reservoir Dogs Llanishen was born in May 2018 and is going strong. I initially started the business with a friend but sadly due to a medical condition she could no longer work so I’m doing it solo now. Life is busy with three young boys, a dog, a husband and a business to run BUT I’m doing what I love and it beats working in an office like I had done for 16 years with Virgin Atlantic Airways as a Customer Service Manager. So instead of managing people I’m now managing dogs!

I absolutely love what I do and have wanted to work with dogs since I was a child and now the dream is real. I have my own pooch who was born in August 2016 and her name is Storm, she’s a Staffordshire Bull Terrier and she’s my baby too. She’s such an amazing dog with my boys and I can’t imagine life without her now, she’s an integral part of the family.

I have a real interest in dog training and dog behaviour and I’m currently studying ‘Advanced Dog Behaviour’ through the British College of Canine Studies which I’m throughly enjoying and I still take Storm training (we’ve been going since she was 16 weeks old), it’s nice just to get some time on our own.

Dog walking isn’t just a job for me it’s my life and my passion. Every dog I walk I treat like they’re my own because I know how I would want Storm to be looked after if she wasn’t with me.
