Always a worry when your dog spends the day at the vet 😟 Ella was in today for a regular heart scan at Parkside Veterinary Group Barnhill Practice. Thank you to Alan and the team for taking such good care of her.

BTW she is doing pretty good for an old girly!

Some people worry about how their dog will cope with a treatment, will they settle and let me work? People are also often surprised about their dogs reactions and responses. I will work with the dog in front of me to get the best possible outcome for them. They are my focus, first, last and always.

Dog wash (serviced and self serve!) is available to book through the portal and to celebrate I have bought some lovely new shampoos from The Pawdinary Grooming Supplies and scents from Peanut and Pickle. Paulina from FluffMuffins Dog Grooming Salon tried out a couple of the shampoos the other day and was very pleased 😀 so was little Angus the cockapoo.
Excellent for between grooms, after a particularly mucky walk, pre hols or just because. Dare I say it pre-Christmas (!!)
Bathing is available on Wednesdays and Thursdays to book. just message me for any other days times 🐾🐾

Henry went for his first laser therapy treatment today by our friend Katherine at Kanine Konnections - Clinical Canine Massage 🐾

Its non-invasive & he was a very good boy enjoying the massage. He's a tender little sole so it takes him a bit of time to get used to anything new. Coopy got to come along aswell for brother support 🥰

Thank you Katherine for looking after our sweet boy, he was loving giving you kisses & cuddles. See you soon for the next one 🫶

When you have a physical job, or even if you dont! I recommend self care and that includes bodywork. We are need to look after ourselves.

For those of you that have been to me you will know I spend a lot of time sitting on the floor, sometimes moving and handling big dogs. I had developed a ni**le in my lower back as a result. I knew it was muscular I could just feel a tightness. Well I finally found a therapist who does the same kind of work on people that I do on dogs. Thank you my ni**le has gone 😊 I wont be trying any of those moves on any dog mind you, I value having a face 🤣 I will 100% be back though

Ella and I recently sent a couple of days learning about the slow targeted myofascial work focussing on the ventral aspect of the dog. Think under the chin all the way back to the tummy and tail but underneath the dog. It was pretty incredible and as you can see Ella really got into it! Your dogs will love it too and will 100% benefit.

Since I started Emmi-Pet I have been thinking a lot about chews since a few of my new clients just don't chew 🤔 Since I have dogs who would eat anything even remotely edible this is quite hard for me to fathom.

So now I'm reaching out to you for ideas you can share to help out these non-chewers to get those jaws going. Chewing on treats is great for both oral and gut health as well as being a natural stress reliever. How can we encourage appropriate chewing?

Collamove consists entirely of sea fish collagen powder from controlled wild catch. It is a joint support supplement which provides your pet with essential amino acids to help the collagen contained in the cartilage, tendons, joints and ligaments. Used daily, it provides important nutritional support in cases of degenerative joint issues and assists in maintaining joint health. bonus being that it is almost tasteless so has a very high acceptance from both dogs and cats.

At only 2g per 10KG of dog it is also very cost effective for those of us with big or multiple dogs working out at just under 60p a day for 50KG of dog 🐾🐾
