These lovely boys are looking for a home 🏡. There are 8 of these bantam boys looking for homes as well as 3 bantam boys already with us at our collection point.

We think bantam boys can be the perfect roosters for ex-layer hens as they aren’t too big so less likely to be rough with your girls! Please get in touch if you think you can give any of these bantam boys a home. Our next rehome for ladies is the 20th July! 🐔

It’s 6pm and all 140 ladies are tucked up in bed eagerly awaiting our rehomers to arrive tomorrow and take them to their forever homes 🫶🏼 🏡 🐔

Huge shout out to our amazing driver Mark today who has been on the road since the crack of dawn and had to make multiple drops before reaching us 🌟

These 2 lovely White Leghorn boys are looking for their forever homes. Based in the Ruthin area, North Wales. Both are 11 weeks old, very friendly, and have been brought up in a pet home together with hens. No history of fighting or aggression. The farm team will be back to collect girls for our rehome next weekend! 🤞🏻🐔

Early start with the caged girls this morning, with each hen carefully lifted and gently placed in the crates.

These girls have poor bone density due to the lack of exercise, so they need a little bit more TLC to start off with.

However, they are very heavy and extremely well feathered and looking forward to their first day of freedom!

We still have a few hundred to reserve for next weekend if you would be interested.

WOW, what a hectic week it has been, with almost 1700 hens confirmed for Saturday.

And NOW we have been asked by the farmer to rehome a further 1800 hens. How could we resist those little faces?!

Our Rehoming Story

Over the past 10 years we have worked with some amazing organisations who have helped us re home over 100,000 of our girls and because of everybody’s hard work, we have seen them all off to their happy forever homes.

This is not normal farming practice and in this industry commercial chickens are not kept for any longer than 80 weeks. This is because as the birds get older, the quality of the egg shell sometimes deteriorates. This then can be a risk when going through a rigorous packaging process. However, after they have worked so hard for us and produced thousands of delicious eggs we feel it is only right that we try our best to find them new homes rather than send them to slaughter.

Rehoming and keeping hens in your back garden or small holding is becoming a very popular thing to do and we can completely understand why. The girls are so friendly, and they will continue to lay well for many years. Our girls are big and strong, fairly well feathered and will love to follow you around and help you with your gardening.

Before you commit to rehoming any of our girls, you must do your research and make sure that you are completely ready for them.

This lovely lad is looking for a new home. He is 2 years old, a feisty boy and would benefit from
living on a farm or small holding where he can look after his girls with minimum human interaction.
The reason for re-homing is his current owners are elderly and due to ill health, can no longer look after him as he deserves.
