With being out of the danger zone and with both Alan and I being satisfied that the kits are fully healthy, I'm happy to announce we have 5 gorgeous half angora kits who are now 7 weeks old (I planned to post last week but needed up to date pictures).
We made the decision to not announce them straight away just so we could focus on our precious babies and their momma.
We have 4 baby girls, Diamond, Opal, Sapphire and Jade ..and one boy, Onyx.
(Touch wood) we had no complications in pregnancy, birth or since with the babies or momma. They have developed much faster than normal kits - arriving well before their due date and opening their eyes before the 5 week mark, etc. They are remarkable little ones and are looking for their forever homes π
Born 28th June, based in Dunfermline Fife, pm for more details please.

Thank you everyone who reported the person who was stealing our pictures and reposting them as his own - We appreciate it massively!
The scammer has been reported to facebook and to the police and they have given as much support and advice as they can but unfortunately the scammers profile is still active with our pictures.
To protect our ferretry, weve decided to keep updates of our litters and updates on mums etc on a private group. We've already updated it with our pregnant mommas, and we cant wait for the sweet sound of meeps ππ

Hello hello I have a couple of Jill's and hobs looking for their new homes π‘
The hobs are brothers and have never been separated so they must be rehomed together. The Jill's are kept in a group together so can be rehomed together or individually to a home with ferrets already.
EDIT: The girls have been rehomed to an amazing family, just the boys now π
Please privately message if you are interested, have any questions or would like more information π they will not be on a first come first gets, there will be questions asked and pictures required before any consideration.
Details of the individual ferrets are underneath their pictures and all are pet home only. They aren't for working or breeding, thank you.

We will be announcing breeding plans for next year as soon as we have pictures of everyone so look out for those soon π

Apologies for being quiet for a while everyone, we had to say goodbye to our Pablo too soon and it hit us pretty hard. Pablo had a bumpy start being anemic and covered in fleas when we first got him from his breeder but we soon turned that around and he was our chunky boy that wanted nothing but cuddles and love and he also loved to sleep at every opportunity. We knew he was a handsome lad but couldn't believe he ended up being Mr August in the Scottish Ferret Club calendar and we can never part with it now.
We know he will be dooking around in peace with his other brothers and sisters who gained their wings before him. We love you baby boy π

Hey Everyone!
I thought id come on and explain the background behind our ferrety name as we have had a little bit of fun confusion with people who have messaged us calling me Eevee which by the name of our ferrety is a super easy assumption to make.
My name is actually chloe and I run the ferrety with my partner Alan, our ferretry is filled with mad hatter babies and the name Eevee came along by another story on its own.
Eevee. Our gorgeous part angora, part eu jill from Banditos of Blairadam Ferretry born in 2018, known as Angelica (her pedigree name). She was my first ever jill as id only ever had hobs before her and I was absolutely smitten with her from day 1. You're not meant to have a favourite but...she was definitely MY girl if you get what i mean.
One day we woke up to do our regular water refills and to say good morning to our babies only to find.... an empty hutch with no ferrets inside. It turns out Eevee had managed to damage her cage (as she's a part EU polecat, she has a stronger bite grip than a standard ferret) where she could escape her hutch, which allowed her group to follow behind her....We found a couple of the babies around the garden, in the street and unfortunately one of them had gotten into some rat poison and sadly passed away but Eevee.... well she was fast, she was known for being a racer girl - Infact she did placed at her races in her shows...so she obviously managed to adventure further and further away form home quicker than her siblings and we were never able to find her again. We went straight to looking everywhere day in and day out, the whole family! aunties, uncles, cousins, siblings, friends, etc.... we put posts on Facebook, we set humane traps but still Eevee was no where to be found and to this day she has never came home....we still hope every day that she will come home and as horrible as it sounds when I see roadkill I always check to see if it is a ferret.... there are no words to describe how guilty i feel, how much i want her home and the thoughts that go through my head of what could have happened to her but we named the ferrety after her so that nobody forgets her, i think about her day in and day out and even after 2 years I'm crying just typing this but that is it, that is the background of our ferrety name.
Of course its not the happiest story but it is our story and i like to share it because it helps people to understand what we mean by making sure your enclosures are completely safe and secure and "ferret proof".
Ferrets are mischievous rascals and if they can find a way they will. We recommend you do as we do, you do morning and nightly checks to ensure that the enclosure has remained safe and secure and that hasn't changed over night or during the day. Keep your fuzzies as safe as you can and have a plan in place for if the unspeakable should ever happen. Here is a link which can help you should you ever have to deal with this yourself, its my friends website that she created and runs, i take no credit for it but find it extremely useful for information
So we have Maya and Pablo our 2 sick little bubbas in the hospital cage - With both ferrets we noticed a significant decrease in their body weight. Now of course this is a typical thing to happen during seasonal changes but the amount lost was not normal.
Maya has a mass in her abdomen that will require an exploratory surgery to look at the severity of the mass, where it has spread to if it has and whether or not it is benign. Maya is currently on pain meds and we are trying to help her to gain weight as best we can to help her through the surgery and hopefully recovery. She had lost a HUGE amount of weight where she was almost a skeleton and I thought she had passed one morning....luckily she was just in a deep sleep due to being exhausted from no energy due to not eating. (Ferrets get their energy from their food - raw meat in our case)
Pablo on the other hand is normally 2.5kg and dropped to under a 1kg in a week π± Upon examination, the vet asked about Pablo being a biter typically as when she pushed against his stomach and he turned to bite her. Now Pablo has NEVER bitten even as a kit and even when he plays. I'd trust him with any age of baby/child so we knew immediately when he tried to bite her something was wrong! The vet had discovered he had an issue with his gut....it seems he had been refusing to eat due to the pain in his digestive system and therefore was starving himself hence the great weight loss and his muscle tone loss which led to him temporarily losing proper mobility in his hind legs π With some medication he is over 1.5kg in 2 weeks and he is very much on the mend π
We are sharing this to allow any animal owners to understand the importance of why you should weigh your animals REGULARLY. I'm not saying to weigh them every day and the slightest change in weight is not a death sentence. I also do not encourage weight loss diets for ferrets but that is another subject. Just keeping a note on your phone with weight and date of weighing can help you to notice if there is something internally going on with your ferret. They are kept in groups so it's not the easiest to monitor who's eating what but their weight will tell you ALOT.

Our wee babies from Luna and Lucifer were 5 weeks last weekend π time certainly has flown by! These little ones are a mixed bunch of sleepy babies, talkative babies, eating for Scotland babies and super playful babies! These little ones are absolutely thriving and we are excited to see how big some of the hobs get as there are already a couple of chonky babies ππ

Luna and Lucifers kits of 2020 have full peepers π All except Demeter who is nearly there. These 4 week old kits are loud, exploring and chonkers!

I have little eyes π staring at me π Lunas kits have decided overnight they wanted to see the world and they turned 4 weeks on Friday just passed so here's their update! π Eating, pooping, sleeping and exploring are their expertise at the moment. They pester their mum escaping her every second they find a chance to so just like any typical kit π We do still have some of these little monsters available and we cant wait to see them all grown up! π

Good afternoon furparents, so we had a couple questions about what things to buy for your ferret, specifically toys and you really DONT NEED to buy expensive toys.
1. We have small businesses on facebook like Cozy Pet Boutique which can make toys and fun hammocks for your furkids,
2. You can simply buy a multipack of cat toys from BnM which come with different textures and noises (great for kits)
3. If you notice builders/workers are finished with their piping - ask if you can have the excess (please make sure the tube is large enough in diameter before letting your ferrets go through it and that it is clean)
4. OR you can make something simple yourself - We get alot of raw food which come in these cardboard boxes so we decided to cut some holes in it, put some cat toys underneath and we let the games begin π it kept 4 kits entertained for an hour and 30 mins before they got put back to bed for some rest time π (They were in this smaller play area as we had people coming to visit them π)
If you have any other ideas for entertainment and fun for your furries comment them below with pictures if you can π

This cheeky girl is another one of our swimmer kits from our girl Nova and she has came on leaps and bounds! Her owner had previous experience with the condition and so she was the right gal for this little one. This is formerly Amy Santiago now known as Maple and her owner has worked with her every day where she looks almost normal π I was gutted when I discovered this litter had swimmers but I'm grateful these kits still have a full life ahead of them π

Moose being tormented by his kits π they love their daddy π
01/08/2020
Doug and Holt from Novas litter who unfortunately had swimmers are absolutely thriving at their new home. Their owners are doing a fantastic job with them and I couldn't be more pleased π They are now known as Bubbles and Teddy ππ

REHOME/ADOPTION: Kiara and Nala
ββββββββββββββββββ
These are the albino Jill's that were surrendered to us - one who gave birth that day (Kiara) and the other, Nala, quite heavily pregnant and ready to give birth within days.
These Jill's have been fantastic mothers to their babies and even though we discovered Nala was blind - she still did amazingly with her kits. Their babies have gone to their new homes or are still in the process of looking for their forever home and these 2 girls will be looking to be rehomed too as the lovely couple that previously owned them are unable to take them back so we are taking our next step forward in finding them their forever home together.
Of course Nala is blind and will need an owner who is able to cater for her condition. She is able to do things like a normal ferret but needs simple things for her like keeping the enclosure the same way so she knows where her food, water and bed are - making a sound she knows to announce you're there to avoid scaring her etc.
Thankfully there are no issues with Kiara and we would love the 2 sisters to go to their forever home together as Nala really is a different ferret when shes with her sister - she is alot happier uand talkative and far more playful.
The girls are available for viewing and will be pet home only.

The babies enjoying a walk around the garden ππΈ
hello and welcome to eeveeβs mad hatter ferrety! Alan and I (Chloe) are a mad couple based in Dunfermline, Fife which for all you non - Scots is an area in Scotland. we started out owning pet ferrets in 2014 and we have continued to take our pet ferrets to shows and we are also hobby breeders of standard, EU and angora ferrets. However, our ferrets are not just breeding machines, they are beloved babies and their health and well being is our top priority as they are family first! Therefore they will not be bred and then sold on or re - homed.
On our page we enjoy to share any vet trips (our chosen vets is Inglis), tips and tricks, experiences and general posts about our ferrets at home. As we are breeders we will also use our page to share with you our planned breeding pairs for the year, how the mums are doing, when the kits are born, how the mums cope, how the kit develops and seeing them away to their new homes when it is correct time to leave their mother and our care.
If you happen to be interested in one of our kits then there will be questions we have for you to make sure you are well equipped and prepared for a ferret and know of how to care for ferrets properly. In addition to answering our questions we will also require proof of setup and for you to be aware that there will be a contract to sign which state that our kits are to be pet home only pets. I will allow reputable and well experienced breeders to have breeding kits on some occasions but this must be discussed and there will be limitations.
Couriers can be used but we encourage new owners to visit their new babies birth place, the kitβs parents and to meet us! If this option is not available to you then we are able to deliver our kits for fuel payment. We really do hope that potential owners can visit though as we would love to show you how well you kit is being raised, fed and cared for so you can see that they are coming from a top quality place!
If you buy one of our kits then we provide our full support and advice throughout the ferretβs life, a special goodie bag will also be provide which contains the kit documentation, toys which smell of their mum, a hammock, etc. They will also leave us vet checked, microchipped and nip trained as they are well handled by our family and close friends. however you must reinforce their nip training at home as they are mischievous creatures that like to see how far they can push your limits, so their learned skills that they leave us with must be enforced whilst they continue to grow up.
Please feel free to send us a private message with questions or enquiries and enjoy our page!
